- broken bed - broken sofa propped up on bricks - freezing and a locked thermostat you cannot change at 14 degrees in the night - dirty sheets - unresponsive host - house for sale so they clearly just do not care, cancel your booking if you can. - -

Great location as a base to explore the area.
This property is in a great location, and is nicely furnished with all basic amenities covered. Dishwashing facilities and shower gel, shampoo etc was provided.
When we arrived the property hadn’t been cleaned. This was seemingly an admin error and housekeeping hadn’t been informed of our booking. It was initially difficult to contact the owner to get this sorted, as he was busy working and couldn’t speak to us. However this was quickly rectified and we were able to continue with our plans. When we returned to the property it was immaculately cleaned, beds changed and fresh towels had been provided.

The location was excellent. The beds were comfortable and clean.
The bins outside were disgusting, there was raw chicken left on top of the bin flies and maggots, black bags around the bin, the smell was unbelievable, which had permeated into the lounge. My husband had to bag the chicken, and put a sand bag on top to stop the smell. The dish washer had not been emptied from previous occupants there was no bowl no plugs in the sinks. There was a cat flap in the door that had no door so was open with an old bin put in front anything could get in. It has really steep stairs not ideal for elderly people. House didn’t match the photos. Messaged the owner didn’t respond.

Good location, decent sized - bring your own kitchen stuff
The house was big, good sized living and bedrooms.bathroom was a good size. Lovely old house with some great wooden furniture. Beds and settees comfy and large. Easy walk to the centre of town. Communication was good and easy to get the keys.
Very noisy road back bedroom and attic room were quieter. The slatted blinds were not sufficient to keep the light out on Summer mornings. The kitchen could do with updating with new crockery etc. parking is tricky because of the permits- but paid car parks very close

Absolutely filthy!
We expected a clean property in good working order. We found a filthy one which did not resemble the description in the advert. The yard was filled with over a hundred cigarette ends which we had to clear up. Several fixtures and fittings were broken including the kitchen sink taps the shower head and a leg on the couch which collapsed when someone sat on it. None of the sinks had plugs making it difficult to wash properly. There were visible cob webs in multiple corners and the walls curtains and paint work were noticeably stained and dirty. The top floor double bedroom was unusable due to an extremely steep and dangerous staircase that was not up to building regs . No parking permit despite advertising one. Faeces on the underside of the duvet cover was the final straw......
