Good accommodation for exploring stratford.

Very convenient to local attractions and plenty of space in the property.

Parking was included when we booked and was then unavailable a few days before arrival. Garden area could have been better tended to.

Very disappointing, dirty and unpleasant and extremely overpriced.

I think the owner has tried to provide basics, but has not put in the effort to make this home pleasant.

We were really disappointed and wanted to leave as soon as we got there. I think that the owner has tried to provide the basics, however it is in a poor state with door handles falling off, toilet leaking, and an unhinged gate in garden, making it feel very insecure and unpleasant along with cigarette butts, rubbish and general detritus outside The property smelled unclean. Paintwork was dirty especially on doors and walls. The advert is mis leading stating that there is parking, this is not the case. The outside area was uninhabitable as it was dirty, untidy and very unpleasant. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Overall the cottage was ideal for what we needed. It was clean and comfortable.

Great location for the centre. There is also a park just down the road to give the dog a quick walk as needed. Good shower.

Decor is a bit tired. Advertised with free parking but after booking received notification advising parking permits for holiday lets were revoked from this year. Found great Private Parking on Just Park app just 2 mins walk. Cost £23 but cheaper than car parks 👍 Two options for wifi - neither were great.

Despite let downs we had a great stay in Stratford and surrounding area.

Breakfast not applicable. Location was good for accessing the town centre. Beds were comfy. TV in lounge and both bedrooms. All accessories that we needed were present ie ironing board, iron etc. Comfy sofas in lounge.

The ad for the property promised on site free parking, however, this was not the case. We had to pay to park in a nearby car park. This needs to be made clear in the ad. We were offered a free cancellation but this was the day before travel and no time to make alternate arrangements. This property could be so much better with a bit of care and attention spent on it. The outside to the rear is a let down. There is a rusty old gate propped against the back yard opening. There was a small table and 2 chairs on the 'patio' complete with a jar containing a load of used fag ends. Plus there was a small patch of grass/weeds. There was a broken glass in the kitchen cupboard and the toilet door handle was hanging off. The property has a double bed in one room and two singles in another. However there is only one very small double wardrobe which has very little depth so our clothes were just hung around where we could find space. Property is very close to a busy cross roads so there is some noise, although this did not bother us. Overall, we would stay elsewhere when visiting Stratford again.

A very pleasant enjoyable stay but no parking as advertised

The cottage was in a great location and had everything we needed . It was clean and comfortable . Cannot fault the cottage itself .

It was advertised with free allocated parking which is a gem in itself in Stratford especially with how close it was to the centre hence why we booked this property . As soon as we booked it we got a message to say there is no parking anymore . The facilities on the properties page should have been updated . Parking is available close by but with suitcases and bags it is very different - just think this should of been made aware beforehand as we had found other cottages with parking but as this was closer we booked it . Cost us £40 in parking so does make a difference to where you book .

Disappointing, bad communication, dodgy car parking situations.

Great location!

The ‘Free Onsite Parking’ was rescinded 3 days before our stay citing that the council don’t offer permits to holiday homes anymore. Owner didn’t reply to my messages until I had contacted booking.com directly and they got hold of him - miraculously he managed to find us a parking spot directly at the back of the property (we could touch the car through the kitchen window.) Very much under the impression that the said parking space provided with the property had been sold separately because it was a very busy weekend in Stratford - be careful of this! The cottage itself is okay and that’s all there is to it. Very basic, very tired. Sofas and walls and carpets are clearly very well worn/dirty. Photos do not reflect the current state of the cottage. It served its purpose.

Access and parking not as expected

The pin code to access the property was not updated and therefore we had to call the owner after trying for several minutes. The owner advised that booking.com had not updated the new pin code. The parking was a bit further away than expected and although it was not an issue for us able walkers, I believe it should be noted for other customers that may have not been able for the walk.

Ideal place in an excellent location

Good value, great location and ideal for what we needed to access the race course. Host communication and details were very good.

Looking a bit tired, cups/glasses in cupboard were dirty and I needed to clean them before use. No sharp knives in the drawer, so I couldn't cut the bread.

We were very happy that we booked this cottage as it was a fantastic base from which to explore Stratford. It had everything we needed for our family break. Free parking behind the cottage was a bonus although we didn't need the car as everything was so close by. Top pick!

Great little house right in the centre.

Great location, within easy few minute walk into town, with its own parking. Great to have the space and facilities of a house and not just one room like a hotel.

Not much, was nice, maybe a bit of tlc for the small garden / back yard, although we didnt use it as only there for the 1 night.

We were unsure how to access the parking but a quick call to the owner resolved this and we were able to access the parking space via the driveway entrance next to the cottage.

Exceptional

Great spacious property in a central location for exploring Stratford. Nicely decorated, very clean with extremely comfortable beds. Added bonus of free parking for one car behind the property was welcome. Great communication throughout, and highly recommend. We shall certainly return for longer stay soon.

Pleasant

Liked that it was walking distance, cottage was warm, nice sitting room and beds.

Kitchen cupboards were dirty, lack of utensils need to make sure there is more stuff for cooking. Stained tea towel left for us to use ( good job I took my own) Bathroom had lots of mould in shower. Also it says free toiletries when booking none what so ever in Bathroom, cleaning clothes left out which is not very hygienic. Not enough towels for our party. Toilet seat was falling off needs bolting to toilet.

This property could be a real gem, unfortunately lots of small issues let it down.

Great location to the town, parking space was a good bonus. The beds were really comfortable.

There was no welcome/information booklet in the property - we had to ring the owner to ask how to switch the heating on. The bathroom, in particular the shower was really mouldy and the kitchen was poorly equipped for self-catering, no chopping board, only one sharp knife etc - plus the kitchen cupboards, even the empty ones needed a good clean. We noticed a lot of cameras around the outside of the property, and we did have an issue with someone banging on the front door late at night shouting at us to be let in.

Comfortable cottage with excellent location.

The property had a central location. Very easy to get into the town. The beds were very comfortable and there was good quality bedding on them which I really like

There was nowhere to hang clothes, the free parking is at the back of the building and I'm not sure that was made clear and it would have been nice to have a small wash hand basin in the separate toilet. Also neither of us could access the WiFi. None of these things altered the quality of the stay, they are just suggestions.

Enjoyable stay

The location of the property is excellent, a stone's throw from the town and its main attractions. Restaurants and pubs in close proximity. In terms of the property, this is a two-bedroom house with parking directly behind it (which was very useful). It also has a back garden and you can see your vehicle from it. The accommodation is spacious and suited our needs as a base to explore the town from. Whilst it adjoins a road, this had no impact on sleep or our stay in general.

Some small suggestions for improvement would be a hand towel for the bathroom and some wardrobe space for the bedroom.

Lovely house at a perfect location! Beds were very comfortable. Great to have off road parking with the property. Property was nice and clean on arrival. Would definitely come back here!

Could do with a new frying pan, but thats the only thing I could think off for positive criticism.
