About this cottage rental

Set on a quiet terraced street not far from Holy Trinity Church where you'll find Shakespeare's grave, Trinity Cottage is a hidden gem. Stepping into this comfortable cottage you'll instantly feel at home. The living room with its wood burner invite you to take a seat on the sofa and rest your legs after your journey. With a minimalist, contemporary style flashes of colour have been added which draw you through the hallway, past the eye-catching green cloakroom, to the kitchen/diner at the rear. Here is a wooden dining table and chairs and a well-equipped kitchen which has been styled with grey units and all the equipment you could need. Upstairs are three stylish bedrooms, two doubles and a single, to suit a number of different groups. The master bedroom has an en-suite WC which is as equally stylish as the rest of the house. Finishing the first floor is the bathroom with a modern claw-foot bath and rainfall shower.

From the kitchen glass doors open out to the patio and lawned garden where you can enjoy meals at the wooden table and chairs. A short walk takes you into the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon where you can enjoy shows at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, visit his birthplace, dine in style at one of the amazing restaurants or venture further afield into the Cotswolds.

Ground Floor

Living Room:
Stepping straight into the living room you instantly feel this cottage's character. The wooden floors flow through to the hallway stairs and your eye catches the mustard yellow details and wood burner. A sofa and armchairs provide space for the group where you can curl up with a book or watch the news with your morning coffee.

Kitchen/Diner:
The spacious kitchen is a chef's dream. Wooden worktops wrap around one side with contemporary grey units sitting alongside a Belfast sink and traditional feature taps. The double oven is perfect for cooking up a feast which you can enjoy at the industrial style dining table overlooking the garden through patio doors.

Cloakroom:
Not usually a feature that you'd shout about, at Trinity Cottage it is a hidden oasis. With deep green walls, bright white tiles and foliage inspired artwork it is a lovely addition to this cottage.

First Floor

Family Bathroom:
At the top of the stairs is the family bathroom, blending traditional styles with modern touches. The tiled floor has a wooden effect while the walls are a crisp white. Above the clawfoot bath is a rainfall shower with classic fittings, and there is a sink and WC. Fill the tub with bubbles and take your time to enjoy this lovely room.

Bedroom One:
The first bedroom has a double bed looking out over the garden to the houses beyond. The metal bed frame sits between two bedside tables and there is a shelf with hanging space for keeping your clothes. Wonderfully plump bedding will help you drift off in this quiet room towards the back of the house.

Bedroom Two:
The second double bedroom is larger with an exposed brick wall painted a light grey adding interest to the room. Above is an antler style light fitting, another touch of character. There is a wardrobe and chest of drawers and a full-length mirror to get ready before heading out for a meal on nearby Sheep Street.

En-Suite:
The second bedroom benefits from an en-suite with a WC and sink. An industrial wood and metal unit holds the sink beneath a large mirror in a wooden frame. This handy en-suite will make getting ready in the mornings a breeze.

Bedroom Three:
Finishing this cottage is the single bedroom. Providing flexibility for groups of friends or perfect for a child it has a full-sized bed and a wardrobe with drawers for storage.

Outside
To the rear of the cottage is a lawned garden with a patio and shrubbery planted along the side. A table and four chairs give space for taking breakfast outside or enjoying an evening drink once the children are tucked away in bed. Paid parking is available at the 24hr NCP car park Rother Street multi storey (0.5 mile). Church Street paid parking (0.3 mile) is open Mon-Fri 4pm to 8am, and all day weekends and bank holidays. On street parking spaces may be found near Trinity Cottage with a 2 hour limit for loading/unloading.

This was our second stay. The location is fantastic and great to have garden access during the heatwave. Parking right outside also a plus and Sarah organised a pass with no issues. The house could do with a spring clean - we opened the shutters and found more than a dozen dead bees and the extractor in the en suite dumped a pile of dust on the loo! I think I mentioned the lack of a teapot in my previous review - a small point but makes a difference to dedicated tea drinkers. Loads to see and do in Stratford and easy access to the north Cotswolds. We had a lovely week

Great location and lovely cottage. Will definitely return. A couple of improvement suggestions - instructions for the TV would be helpful and despite the welcome info saying there were coffee pods, we didn’t find any.

We had a very happy stay at Trinity Cottage. It has 3 lovely bedrooms, a light and airy kitchen diner and nice garden to sit out in. It is very convenient for all the restaurants and a short and easy walk to Trinity Church (Shakespeare's burial place) and the River. Our only issue was with the arrangements for the parking permit which are unsatisfactory. Despite notifying the relevant person over a week before our arrival - we still received a parking ticket. Although it was sorted out eventually, it caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience and put a bit of a dampener on our break.

Trinity Cottage is in a great position to explore Stratford upon Avon. Despite being straight off the street it’s deceptively large. It could perhaps do with a couple more comfy chairs in the snug / living area. The kitchen is a good size - although the dining table is very small and if you were a group of 4-5 you’d struggle to all eat around it. The garden is a great asset. All bedrooms were clean and functional. However the lack of curtains is a let down as the sun comes streaming through the blinds. The cottage comes equipped with WiFi (although the wrong password was in all the information booklets so we had to get it from the router), a nespresso pod machine. We brought pods to use but it wouldn’t work - as it turns out it’s one of the newer nespresso machines which takes very specific pods - this would have been good to have known prior to arriving or having pods left for us to use. The Sonos speaker was also missing.
