The Host, David was exceptionally helpful in placing a spare extra bed for us at no extra cost. The flat is well laid out, effectively all in one room, with a lovely homely feel to it, where the host has left countless books for guests to enjoy. Every conceivable item for guests needs was provided. cooking pots, pans, cuttlery, beer and wine glasses, a decent combi oven, fridge and freezer, and all were spotlessly clean. Nothing to want. Lovely superb comfortable extra large double bed. Very close to an excellent huge supermarket up the road and laundry for drying clothes at a very cheap cost (we used the Flats washing machine and the laundry for drying). A few minutes walk to the nearest Metro for All sites, which is very easy to understand. The host uses WhatsApp to maintain contact which is faster than through booking.com
The hosts directions to the flat could have been clearer. The person meeting us at the flat, although a very nice person, did not speak English, so communication to understand the facilities were non existent until we managed to reach the host via WhatsApp. Smoke alarm was not working and the host said the unit was defective when he came in to test it for us, to replace it. The refuse in the flat needs a better system of removal, as it stood was supposed to be cleared every other day, but for people on holiday, making food and buying drinks, it needs daily removal by the cleaner. It was not removed for 3 days at one point by mistake, which forced us to inform the host it was over full from the bin by a huge margin. The shower base needs a simple plinth installed to stop the water flowing into the bathroom floor, where we had to use a large towel rolled up to restrict the water ingress to the bathroom. One evening, late, the host messaged us that the following morning, window cleaners were coming in with him. We politely refused that from happening. Simple routes to areas like the very large supermarket, laundry, etc, would go along way to helping guests, as would clear instructions on how to work the washing machine, TV and dishwasher, since the person showing the flat could not speak English. The flat is located above tram runs, and as light sleepers we used ear buds and the flat fan on full to remove the noise, which was fine.

The apartment is perfectly located for public transportation, allowing you to reach Brussels' most important tourist attractions (Grand Place, Royal Palace, and the Atomium). Its furnishings are as described. Minimalist, yet functional in terms of practicality. A large, comfortable bed allows you to survive the chilly nights and mornings. The landlord's empathetic attitude deserves special mention, especially his kindness and understanding of the tenants' needs.
The kitchen could be equipped with large knives, as well as coffee and tea cups. The bar stools are uncomfortable and look more like a bar than a cozy apartment (unless you're talking about the hidden meaning of Molière's novels) 😊

There was no breakfast. The location was not absolutely central but tram stops were at a walking distance. The property was spacious with everything provided thoughtfully. For example, washing machine was provided and so were the pods, same with dishwasher. Even the kitchen utensils was thoughtfully provided, like grater.
Only one thing was that I requested a cot for my baby at the time of booking but was told on arrival that they all have been given to others with family. I thought as I made the booking quite in advance, I should have received it but nevertheless we just moved the couch around a bit to make it next to me crib.

A nicely organised and located flat. Good communication with David prior and during the stay.
It wasn’t clean. Refrained from using the couch. The linen had spots on it and is worn. Bathroom had a bad smell, which was partially solved during our stay.
