Great location, cosy apartment

The location was perfect. We could walk to restaurants, bars, shops, supermarket and the castle.,

Some things were not clean. The bathroom window was very grimy. The bedrooms were spotless though.

Disappointed

The wrong keys were put in the door lock.safe.. it was incredibly stormy weather. My group and I were left stranded for nearly two hours in abhorrent weather conditions after numerous calls (which took a long time for response). Substandard handover therefore not worth the money

A very pleasant stay.

The property was very clean and well equipped. It’s situated on a quiet lane just a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of Princes Street. The early morning excursions we went on departed from Charlotte Square which is even closer. All five of us were very pleased with the property and the value.

I would never stay here again.

The house is just as it appears in the photos — bright, spacious, and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is well-equipped with all necessary appliances, including a washing machine. The house has a private entrance; after a small set of stairs, you enter directly into the home. Having two bedrooms is a big advantage. One of the bedrooms is smaller than the other. Both rooms face the gardens of the houses in the back, which means they look out onto a quieter side — that was a nice touch.

There are countless things we didn’t like about the house. We were misled by the photos, and since our holiday was starting in just two days and most accommodations in Edinburgh were fully booked, we chose this house out of necessity. But the house was genuinely dirty. There are several areas that clearly need thorough cleaning and maintenance. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment, but everything was dirty. The drawers were dusty — you could feel it on your hands when you opened them. There were small hairs and lint on the bed sheets. Most importantly — and I’ll be sharing the photos — we encountered bugs in the house. There were actual spiders inside. On top of that, we were asked to pay a £200 deposit right after booking, which wasn’t refunded until 10 days after our stay. I honestly found the condition of the house unacceptable — it looks much nicer in the photos than it actually is. Also, while the location is quiet, it’s on a small uphill street, and the city is not flat like London — it takes about 15 minutes to walk to Edinburgh city centre, mostly on steep roads. Above all, the house was so dirty that we couldn’t feel comfortable at all, especially while staying with a child. The bugs disturbed us at night, and we constantly felt uneasy. No matter the location, due to the lack of cleanliness, I would never stay here again. I strongly advise the host to thoroughly clean and refurbish the property.

Location was good close amenities

Just about everything. We had to start cleaning immediately. Everything we touched felt filthy. Look at my photos very little like your pictures. For what you charged £2000 for three adults it was daylight robbery. Black mould in bathroom, round lounge windows. Little protection from the cold, better blinds or window curtains desperate. Glass on floor from broken mirror, not done by us, caused sons foot injury. Flat was sad unfinished felt like student accommodation. Very poor. Don't patronise me by telling me we should have got in touch it was just before new year and no one would have come. The flat needs a thorough clean and update

We had a lovely time this trip to Edinburgh. With a few tweaks I would recommend your place to friends.

It was bright and cheerful. The beds were comfortable. It was in a nice neighborhood and we felt safe.

I would strongly suggest a railing on the stairs! The shower was tricky to figure out, you either got a scalding hot shower or ice cold! Another chair in the living room would have been nice. The outside of the microwave was dirty as was the electric tea pot. Also it was pretty warm a few days so a fan would help.

Quiet Location. Easy to travel from airport by tram. Keys in key box on door made entry easy. TV good.

Apartment was missing family friendly items - travel cot, highchair, stairgate, and no bath, which made it hard for travel with a baby as so much extra to carry up a tight staircase. Would go again and pay extra to rent travel cot, and highchair if made available.

Staff were really good with communicating and replying if you had queries. Location was really close to everything and area felt very safe.

The apartment is in an excellent location, it was fresh and clean.

The WiFi wasn’t great. We were 4 adults and the space felt compact. The smaller bedroom is very tight.

Great stay, would repeat again

The apartment is very new and comfy. The location is not in the mere center but it is very calm and easy to move around. They let us in before the official check in hour, and after a long flight, we appreaciate it! The kitchen was well equiped as well.

Just be aware that there are some stairs at the entrance.

Excellent stay in a clean and comfortable residence in a great location

Location was excellent and enjoyed looking out from the bedrooms over the gardens and backs of lovely New Town houses. There was plenty of hot water when we were all having showers and the heating was very efficient. Property was well equipped.

It would have been useful to have a mirror in the smaller bedroom and to have some sort of cover to go under the sheet on the sofa bed.

Great location (10 mins walk into town), good appliances. Beds were comfortable.

It was frustrating we couldn’t leave our bags there before we checked in. I doubt cleaning staff would have been there for 5 hours. Agency weren’t overly accommodating. I know it’s self service, but having only one roll of toilet paper and no cleaning products (kitchen roll, spray etc) felt very stingy. It would have been nice to have a booklet of places to go and do food shopping, go out to eat etc in the local area. Place wasn’t incredibly clean, there had been old products left under cabinets and marks on tables. Apartment could do with a freshen up.

Poor

The location.

disappointed with the apartment as it was not cleaned properly. There were dirty towels left in the washing machine as wel l as the inside of the oven was vile! Someone did offer to come out to clean it, but that is not the point! It should have been thoroughly cleaned in the first place. I also found someone's necklace on the floor and the bathroom door handle was not working properly. My daughter got locked inside.

Location was excellent and the apartment was lovely and warm 😊

The bed we slept in wasn't very comfortable. Didn't feel like a double bed more like a fold out bed and was small. My husband is tall so it wasn't the best. But otherwise it was perfect 🥰

Location of apartment was great 15min walk from princess Street 30min from Royal Mile Apartment was clean bedrooms were great beds comfortable and as we were with an infant my family had everything they needed at hand to make they're trip easier

I had only one niggle about apartment and that was size of living room area but again this was only down to we had infant and the time it takes to get everything ready to go out for a day you would spend sometime in front of a TV and in evening when you got home again this was just me my son and daughter in law loved it

Very central quiet location with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Good for a short weekend break with friends/family.

Not sure that it would comfortably sleep six - bed settee in living room was great for one but would be very tight for two. No freezer facility and no ice cubes. None of these effected our stay.

fantastic central location. Very easy to get anywhere from here, both Stockbridge for local shops and the centre of Edinburgh

More information regarding parking for those arriving by car. Property advertised as with parking nearby but that was very expensive when staying several days. Had to source our own parking outside of the expensive parking zone which once found was very reasonably priced. Perhaps a little map in the property showing this would be helpful for future guests? For anyone reading this and planning on driving the cheap parking is just beyond Waitrose in Stockbridge.

Compact central apartment in quiet historic mews lane. Open plan living/kitchen area. Warm and well equipped.

Few cobwebs around and the surfaces could have been better dusted. A lock bolt or snib on the shower/toilet door would have been welcome.
