About this apartment rental
The apartment is beautifully decorated and is packed full of Scottish fabrics, original Scottish paintings and drawings, warm colours and heaps of personality. It's a great base from which to explore Edinburgh on foot, and once you're worn out from a great day of shopping or sightseeing there's a fab kitchen in the apartment and a wood burning stove for a cosy night in. For the more energetic just dump the shopping bags, get the 'glad rags' on and walk a few hundred yards to some of the best bars and restaurants that Edinburgh has to offer. After a few nights here you're almost guaranteed to feel Scottish and you certainly won't want to leave!
You enter the traditional 'shared stair' at pavement level and make your way up the original, stone steps to the apartment door on the 2nd floor (the top). There are two bedrooms; one very large and one large. Both rooms can be set up either as twin beds or double beds (Super King size and King size). The beds are naturally 'Luxury Hotel' standard. The master bedroom has a lovely dressing table with an illuminated magnifying mirror for the ladies.
There is a very well equipped large dining kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and everything you need to cook up a feast! It also includes a dishwasher, washing machine and digital radio.
The Lounge is beautifully decorated and features a wood burning stove and original fireplace. There is wifi, digital cable TV and a Bluetooth speaker for your entertainment and the side board is crammed full of fun board games for a lively night in! There is also a sofa bed available in the lounge for larger groups.
The bathroom is a warm and welcoming room with its large tub, big traditional shower head, stone tiles, warm colours and the all important under floor heating!

The apartment was the perfect location for us, we needed to be in this area of the West End for our 3 night stay. I would normally look for a less expensive rental but the location persuaded us to go for something special. Which in many ways the apartment certainly is! First impressions were excellent, beautiful decor and furnishings, spotlessly clean, wonderful artwork and clearly the host has a talent for interior design. There were a couple of minor practical problems which I'm sure will be rectified for the next guests - the host is attentive to messages. We did find the temperature in the rooms quite cold at times, which I gather from Maciej has never before been an issue in the 10 years the apartment has been available as a holiday rental. It would have been useful to have been able to check the temperature was indeed maintained at 21 which Maciej assured us it was but he responded to my messages asking him to increase the heating at times, which he did, remotely. Certainly, the apartment is very beautiful and comfortable and because the location is so good, the other little things didn't worry us unduly, bathroom tap difficult to turn off, loose toilet seat, handle broken in the freezer section of the fridge, all of which I feel sure will be fixed. A lovely place to stay, for us I'm sure would be absolutely perfect in the warmer months! Thank you, Maciej!

Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Edinburgh!We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful VRBO! The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to all of Edinburgh’s major attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hosts, Maciej and Anna, were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating throughout our visit. They made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The property itself was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing stay. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Edinburgh. Highly recommend!

Pretty quiet area that is close to train station and several bus stops. Reasonable walking distance to several points of interest, restaurants, and shopping. Good communication with host. Would have preferred to have more control of the temperature. Clothes were still damp after seven hours of air drying.

This is a beautiful flat in a great location. Close to central Edinburgh shopping areas and more importantly for us the EICC. The host was really friendly and accomodating. The apartment is well equipped and even a selection of provisions were waiting for us. We felt really at home. We would happily stay here again. We highly recommend it.
