Cherry Property - Mulberry Suite

Property was lovely. Everything you could need for a weekend stay. The place was clean and inviting. The living area was comfortable and had everything you could need. It also had a smart TV which was ideal to keep my son occupied in the morning. The kitchen area was well set out and included a toaster, microwave, a fridge freezer as well as all cutlery and crockery (the only thing missing that we could have done with was a pair of kitchen scissors). The bedroom was comfortable and a good size with plenty of storage for your clothes. Bathroom had a walk in shower and a bath -the toilet was separate- . All nice and clean and towels were good quality.

The kitchen didn’t have any curtains or blinds up, which would have offered a little more privacy but it didn’t affect our stay. Unfortunately, the blinds in the bedroom were quite thin and let a lot of early morning light in, so if you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend bringing a sleep mask for your stay. The boiler didn’t seem to be working as it should so the radiators were tepid at best and we struggled to get any hot water (my partner is a heating engineer so I called him and asked advice. he said all the settings were correct and the boiler may just need to be topped up)

Good location, simple small unit at the back. Great location for what we needed to do in Blackpool. parking provided. Kitchen also, but we didn’t need to use it.

The bed had a dent in it. The bathroom toothbrush holder wasn’t cleaned.

Clean. Comfy double bed. Easy to walk to town. Not to close and not to far out. Quiet. Parking.

AVOID if you want your security deposit back within a suitable time and not 5 weeks later!!!! Host was terrible, she was very unhelpful and very slow to respond to messages or just didn’t bother replying. In the end Booking.com got involved and refunded me my £150 deposit. Not first review I’ve now seen regarding the deposit return so be careful. Thankful for Booking.com stepping in. The shower leaked really badly. To the point it came up from under the floor in the hall way. Not helpful when you can’t see the water and stand on it without shoes. It was sodden. No curtains or blinds in kitchen. Overlooked, so bit disconcerting at night. No light in half of the lounge area. Bulb missing. There is a lamp but bit tricky if eating. Sofa bed very uneven and sheets just slip off. Need fitted sheets. My kids slept on it but as an adult you probably won’t be impressed. Kitchen is very bare. You have what you need and it’s all in great condition. Oven barely used. But lit there is just 4 everything. Would be helpful to have a few more so you don’t have to constantly wash things up. Toilet and bathroom are separate. Which is great. However no sink in toilet!!! If you have mobility issues there are steps leading into property and the handrails aren’t very steady, so beware of that.
