We truly felt honoured to stay in this amazing property - it was simply magical

This little property is an absolute gem - walking in you realise you are walking into history with modern comforts - beautifully furnished, in the heart of this historic town home to Charles Darwin and visited by Charles Dickens and so many more you can’t not have a wonderful stay - it’s so cosy with the log fire - walking distance to grocery food shopping with a wonderful town market and some fabulous independent shops to explore ! This is a gorgeous property in stunning historic market town

I really couldn’t fault the property -on street parking was available as well as a larger cheaper NCP carpark a short walk from the property which we used and it was lovely actually feeling car free for the week

Wonderful experience for anyone interested in history

A unique experience of time travel. The restoration and retention of the original structure was so authentic it was like living in the past. The location was right in the middle of the old town and easy to walk to all the best features of the town.

Fantastic charming apartment which made a birthday surprise even more special!

The property had lots of character and was a fantastic central location in Shrewsbury. It was a great size for us as a group of 4. Location was quiet so we all slept very well and there was plenty of space. I booked as a birthday surprise and they were very happy - we would love to go back for a longer stay to explore the area more!

what an authentic historic property. not only that but it was also very comfortable and in the perfect location for exploring Shrewsbury. our host was lovely and had a warm fire and chilled Prosecco waiting for us!

beautiful period with property made the stay in Shrewsbury all that more special

Delightful old cottage with plenty of character to make the birthday trip to Shrewsbury special. Location is second to none with everything the town has to offer on the doorstep. nice touch by the owner (Jo) to leave us a bottle of wine and biscuits, along with treats for our dogs. The log burner in the living room makes those cold dark evenings outside really cosy. Would love to visit again.

Brilliant stay from meeting Jo the owner/host to when we left.

Wesley House far exceeded our expectations.The location is right in the centre of Shrewsbury so everything is within walking distance.The house is a fantastic place with history and all mod cons all in one place.Would definately go again.

Welcoming and comfortable place to stay while we were at the Shrewsbury Folk Festival

Jo the owner, was friendly, efficient and helpful. She responded to our request for a cafetiere within 30minutes. Excellent central location yet quiet, tucked away. A delightful Tudor house made cosy and comfortable with all amenities, good plumbing and efficient kitchen sympathetically modernised with a courtyard courtyard. I would recommend it and may book again next year.

Fabulous apartment in a fabulous location.

Fantastic location in the heart of Shrewsbury. Such an amazingly quirky historical building lovingly restored. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable sofa and chairs and a nice shower, all within this remarkable apartment.

Wonderful historical accommodation but still clean, warm and comfortable. Great central location and friendly host. Loads to do in Shrewsbury with young family, recommend the castle, museum, swimming pool, boat tour, park and just wandering around.

Superb location in a charming house.

Superb location in the town centre. Street is quiet as building work further along means there's no traffic. The house itself oozes olde worlde charm and interest. The back yard is a sun trap ideal for sitting out with a cup or glass of something. Very close to a great choice of places to eat and drink. Host is very responsive and friendly.

At certain times of day it can be challenging to access with a car to drop off or collect luggage etc. Kitchen could do with some more utensils, crockery etc. Double bed could do with some oil as it is very squeeky!

Fabulous historic house!

The house is beautifully restored, whilst keeping so many lovely historic features. Jo made us feel very welcome, great attention to detail in the house and a welcome bottle of fizz was a lovely gesture. The location is fantastic as a base to explore. A must stay for anyone who enjoys heritage destinations. This property felt like a real treat.

The owner was really helpful and it was a great experience to be in the middle of this historic town

The town centre location was excellent with the added bonus it is located in the most historic part of town so everything was very easy to get to, yet it was also very quiet. The house itself has been sympathetically renovated as a listed building so there were modern and clean kitchen and bathroom facilities and lots of period charm.

You can park at the house to unload and then park at one of the town carparks which are 5 mins walk. This was slightly awkward owing to some strange Covid related street closures enforced by the council.

Such a lovely place with lots of character. There was plenty of room for us all as a family of four with a puppy. The location was perfect...no need for a car with everything in walking distance and the owner Jo was absolutely lovely and sooooo helpful. We definitely be back again.

Overall all lovely and really cosy but a little bit Awkward

The beds were really comfortable and the host was lovely, some lovely photos and the place was beautiful.

The third bedroom is a childs bed and not proper room, it's a extra bit to the living room so my friend who is 5 ft nine ended up sleeping awkwardly, and we ran out of hot water.
