"Wesley House" Historic home in town Centre with Parking Options

I collected the keys from the owner's house, which is just outside the city centre with easy parking. She was very friendly and helpful and offered for me to leave my car there and run me into town. This wasn't convenient for me as I needed it the next day but was an excellent option to have! I managed to nab a park right in front of the property. This was paid parking between certain hours but as we had arrived late afternoon and I am an early riser so would be heading off, this wasn't a big problem. The property itself is absolutely charming. I had the double room and my mother the twin - in hindsight we might have asked for this to be set up as a double as well due to the configuration. The lounge was both pleasingly historic and functional, as was the kitchen. The bathroom and laundry were clean and met our needs well. We adored the quirkiness of the building, and the location was excellent.

The parking was tricky, but the owner was up front about that and provided information about several local parking options as well as offering her own driveway outside of the central city. Personally, I would recommend the St Julian's Friars car park, which is just a short walk away and cheaper than other local car parks. I discovered this as there was a burst water main in the main street on our second day there and I was unable to drive back to the accommodation! Obviously not the accommodation's fault!

This little property is an absolute gem - walking in you realise you are walking into history with modern comforts - beautifully furnished, in the heart of this historic town home to Charles Darwin and visited by Charles Dickens and so many more you can’t not have a wonderful stay - it’s so cosy with the log fire - walking distance to grocery food shopping with a wonderful town market and some fabulous independent shops to explore ! This is a gorgeous property in stunning historic market town

I really couldn’t fault the property -on street parking was available as well as a larger cheaper NCP carpark a short walk from the property which we used and it was lovely actually feeling car free for the week
