Walter and Sonora were delightful hosts when six of us came to stay at the In Urbe apartments in Via Giulia for a singing week. From before we arrived, to the time of our departure, they were friendly and communicative, obliging and helpful, volunteering their help right from the start, enabling us to relax straightaway. The apartments themselves were very comfortable, and just right for us, from comfortable beds to scrupulously clean rooms and well-appointed kitchens, we wanted for nothing. The location was perfect for us as we had to get to the rehearsal venue nearby every morning, and with shops, cafes and restaurants less than 10 minutes away we were well situated for all our needs. We couldn’t believe how good our accommodation was, and would highly recommend In Urbe to anyone looking to stay in Spello.

Location - perfect location and felt very local, while still being within the old town. Stunning view, could stare at that all day! V quiet, but bars and cafe’s just down the road. A “hidden” bakery very close is a bonus! Facilities - everything we needed, and we actually cooked “at home” for two nights (though this involved 20m trek down to the excellent supermarket at the foot of the hill). Owner - Sonora was super helpful, not only during our visit but before we even got there, advising on transport options, places to visit etc. We were there during the Spello Infiorate 2026 (including the Sunday) so the town was chaotic; Sonora kindly gave us a v late checkout which was a huge help
