MIMOSA HOUSE with garden in the historic center of Spello

We really enjoyed staying here. It is very spacious and furnished throughout with a homely mixture of antiques (some very good) and 20th century vintage. The photos do not really do the property justice. The kitchen is actually quite roomy and very well equipped (like the rest of the apartment) except for a kettle. I loved the terrace with its wonderful views. Although right in the centre of town it is secluded and quiet in a courtyard off an alley off the main piazza. To get there: if coming off the autostrada from Perugia come off for Spello (not Spello Nord), follow sign for Centro at 1st roundabout, right at the second and left at the third signed Centro. As you come off turn sharp right in front of the enormous town gate. Follow road skirting round the town, continue on the road as it snakes up into the town. At the top turn left into Piazza della Repubblica. Go down to the far end from the Uffizzio Postale next to the steps and there is a narrow opening into the courtyard. The apartment is at the other end opposite you, up some steps. Highly recommended. Thank you Giorgio.

Here's your chance to stay in the most perfect place in Spello, which is perhaps the loveliest of Umbria's hill towns. Giorgio's family's apartment cannot be bettered in location - just off the main square - or its setting - a wonderful rural view over the hills towards Collepino. The apartment and small garden are completely private. The apartment is well equipped with anything you might need during a relaxing stay - the kitchen particularly is well stocked with cooking utensils - and the wifi works well. Giorgio and Giuliana were both very helpful and responsive. All in all, the highest recommendation!

Nous avons passé 7 jours dans cette charmante maison de Spello à 5 personnes. L'accueil du propriétaire Giorgio et de sa soeur est très convivial. La maison est équipée confortablement, est spacieuse et lumineuse et sans vis à vis. La décoration est très soignée. La terrasse, ilot de verdure, est très agréable et offre une vue superbe. Elle nous permet de se sentir à la campagne tout en bénéficiant des services de la ville. Idéalement située pour visiter Assise toute proche, Pérouse, Gubbio sans oublier Spello, magnifique village très animé. Les commerces sont à deux pas de la location et offrent des produits de régionaux de qualité. Je recommande vivement cette location.

A lovely apartment and the view from the rooftop garden is to die for. We spent a month in this perfect spot and apartment and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The apartment is spacious, well maintained. great location and has everything you need to make your stay so very enjoyable. The rooftop garden is a very special place and many an evening was spent sitting out there enjoying the view with a glass of wine or two. Fantastic. Giorgio's apartment is a little piece of heaven in one of the most pitturesque towns of Umbria. The view from the terraced garden is breathtaking and the location is very quiet although within 1 mn walking distance from the main square. The apartment itself is spotless, spacious and well equiped. The beds and bedlinens are very comfortable. Giorgio was a very gracious and helpful host. All in all, my husband and I were extremely happy with our stay (we will be back) and highly recommend this option to those who plan on visiting this wonderful region.

The house is great: a large bathroom upstairs with a tub, an incredible private garden with a view to the green hills around the city, a fully equiped kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a studio with a bed and an extra sofa bed, an incredibly firendly and thoughtful host. Rented the house for a week during Christmas 2014. Thank you, Giorgio! And hope to see you again soon!

Georgio’s gorgeous sunny home in Spello has everything; a spacious entry way, a view of the Chiona Valley and Saint Andrea Church’s bell tower, an outside garden with flowers, a wooden table and chairs, (not to mention the rosemary, sage and mint which probably grows most of the year), a comfortable living room dining room combination, with table for eight and a fireplace, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a study with a double bed, a washing machine in the upstairs bedroom and dishwasher in the kitchen. It is centrally located in the ancient walled city, steps from the main square, small grocery stores, cafes and delicious restaurants. The house is well appointed with lots of closet space and family prints and posters hang on the walls. Georgio speaks English and is a kind and gracious host.
