Hotel Lorien

The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable

They gave me the room on the 3rd floor (Top floor), it was a very sunny day, and there is no proper cooling system available.. It was 34 degrees outside, and so hot inside the room.

breakfast was absolutely fantastic, as were the beds and the room setup. i was quite surprised! Check-in procedures and front desk staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. definitely recommended. also very close to a tram stop, doctors and general supply stores

the area isnt great but this has nothing to do with the hotel

Everything was good and the price was very cheap compared to the hotel.

The bathroom was fairly new and clean. The location was not very central (but we knew it when we booked) - however, it was convenient to the tram stop, as expected. I enjoyed having the water boiler/kettle in the room, to make tea in the morning or evening. The hotel was flexible as far as accommodating our late check-in.

The WiFi was not working in our room (203, at the very end of the hallway). The smartphones couldn't connect and the laptop could only connect from the spot right next to the entrance door. But as soon as I stepped out of the room, the phones had no problem connecting to the WiFi. So it is clearly a problem with the poor/weak WiFi signal in that room, in that location in the building. They need to put an additional repeater in that location. Also, the windows didn't feel like they were closing tightly - therefore, there was some noise from the street and also the room got cold quickly. There was one heater/radiator/convector in the room, but it took quite some time for it to warm up the space.
