Front office's quick resolution to a major setback. They fix the situation quickly and offered a perfect solution.
The pool and sauna is closed due to renovation - it could've been stated in the booking page.

Great hotel, easy to make it to the centre and good value really, in particular the pool and sauna are a bonus, decent breakfast too. Nice little proper Cologne-style bar just around the corner.

The breakfast was great, and the service was good. We enjoyed the pool. The pool was well maintained and open from very early until very late. Very nice.
The hotel has a good vibe, with free coffee and snacks at the reception all day round.
The hotel carpets look dirty / damaged here and there. Maybe it is time for a face lift.
Also, the hotel location is a little bit low end, with lots of litter on the streets in the area.

Nowhere is it indicated that the spa area is closed ;
The mattresses are not new and are sagging ;
The window is not watertight ;
There is no small refrigerator ;
On the 2nd floor where we were staying, the ventilation/air conditioning is very/too noisy and can be heard from the room.
