Very disappointing

Location.

Our request for first floor room was accepted by email but declined on arrival. We booked a sea view room but sadly the windows were so dirty we didn't have the benefit. No facility for making a hot drink or even a complementary bottle of water. Breakfast was also very poor in content and a dirty cup!

Pleasant hotel in great location with fantastic staff.

Great location overlooking the harbour. Easy walk from the ferry. Central to everything in Dieppe. 10 minute walk from the station. Great staff who were very friendly and welcoming.

Room decor was dated. No coffee / tea making facilities. No aircon / fan.

Great place to stay in the heart of Dieppe, good value for money and fantastic staff

Staff were super helpful, the room was clean and nice enough. The style of the decor is a bit old fashioned for some tastes (we were a bit put off by the photos) but in the flesh it was quite new and perfectly ok. The location is perfect for hanging out around the harbour area of Dieppe, the beach is 5mins away (probably less). Great food all along the harbour, nice shops hidden away and the fantastic market on a saturday morning.

Incredible staff and location.

The warm welcome we received was just what we needed after a day on the road and travel. Helped us park our motorbike, gave us all the information we needed, would thoroughly recommend this great hotel.

Wonderful location and excellent staff, get a seaview room to make the most of it

Staff were wonderful, really friendly and helpful. Location was also really good, we got a room with a view of the harbour which was lovely, although it was pretty noisy at night. fantastic location for view, for getting to all the restaurants and the sea, walking around the area and just for taking in the life of the town. Large and comfortable room with lots of light.

The noise of motorbikes revving round the harbour at night meant it was not peaceful! The breakfast could have been better for the price, although it was fine. It was quite expensive, worth it for the view, but if we hadn't had a room with a view I think I would have felt that it was overpriced. Wifi was very weak.

A wonderful location coming off the train and for the Ferry the next day.

Best of all is the location. And having a harbour view really made it for us. The staff are helpful and friendly. Also it is near to a nice walk of the town, near the train station and near a wide choice of restaurants.

The excellent restaurant was sadly not open the evening we stayed but the recommendation of Le New Haven a short walk away was very good. It could use a little more investment.

Relaxing stay with extremely hard working staff.

Our breakfast set us up for the day it was very fresh and healthy. The staff were lovely and very patient given we had both forgotton our school French. The room was clean with lovely views and we felt relaxed as soon as we got there. We will be getting out our French phrase books before our next visit. Dieppe is a lovely place to stay with lots to do and visit.

I didn't like that we had to go home today could have stayed much longer.

Quite dated, fairly small room, not a very good shower. And soap dispenser above sink was empty. But everywhere was clean. A good base.

The position was good

The hotel is in need of a complete decoration the room (201) was very poor carpets are in need of replacement the wall paper is chip rock and painted in a dark beige the curtains were dirty and smelt the bathroom was clean the staircase from reception to our room is a health hazard brown wooden stained and poor lighting ….breakfast was very poor (I asked for a slice of toast and was refused )

Very convenient for town centre.;

The location is excellent for the town centre. Plenty of choice for bars & restaurants which - because of their numbers - are very competitive in prices and thus not too expensive. The hotel itself is functional and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom spotlessly clean.

For what it is, Les Arcades is perhaps a little too expensive, and we actually paid more than what the Booking.com site had told us we would pay. The hotel also needs to review its pricing for breakfast. €12.00 per person whilst at a café around the corner the same breakfast - coffee, croissants, pains au chocolat etc. were on offer for just €6.00.

Very good

The big problem was the excessive noise from, particularly, motorbikes from the car park opposite my room overlooking the port. Riders were deliberately racing the engines. I know this is not the hotel's responsibility, but the noise during the day and evenings meant I had to keep windows shut in what was a very, very hot spell of weather.

Passable

The location is great, there are many good restaurant nearby. We chose it because you can park for free nearby and we preferred a short walk to the famous market on Saturday.

It was difficult to communicate in english. The rooms lacked comfort, the mattresses were halfway okay. After the pretentious entrance, the comfort ends. The price is clearly inflated, but you can book the rooms much cheaper on the spot. I suspect the hotel thrives on its location right on the harbor and old times.

everything else. the room was nothing like the photos. the whole place is in desperate need of a complete renovation. bad tobacco smell in the room. its just very grim. the lift has Twin Peaks creepy vibe. lime a murder has been committed in it.

We were not intending to stay in Dieppe as heading for the Dordogne. Sadly we had car trouble and hence booking to stay the night. The car trouble proved worse than we thought and either we had to limp back to the UK or hire a car. Searching for car hire in Dieppe came up with a big NO car hires available. I asked the owner for his help and he was wonderful. Said leave it with me. Next morning we were heading South again, in a hire car. So a huge thank you to the gentleman whose name I sadly did not get, for all his help.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Bathroom ok. Close to the port if you are walking.

Disappointing. Unfortunately the room and surrounds are not great. Nylon bed cover with burn mark was something that surely shouldn’t be used in a hotel of 3stars and corridors are depressing and outdated. Last decorated approx 30 years ago by the look of grubby carpets and walls. Would never stay here out of choice again. Not good value for money

Superb

The hotel is very central in the heart of the town. Parking for us was free and very near in the main square. We found Les Arcades to be a unexpected gem and well worthy of our stay. A very friendly manager and staff, great food and a most comfortable room and bed where we slept very well. A great end to our road trip.

Possibly in need of minor redecoration in some parts.
