We enjoyed the facility as we arrived a little later than we'd planned. Staff helped direct us to on-street parking and nearby restaurants. Proximity to the beach was good, with only a short walk. We were able to easily locate the Canadian War Memorials on the beach and near the castle. An unexpected bonus was the car show and rally on the beach Saturday.

Everything was quite satisfactory for a one-night stay.

My stay was fine but marred the experience we had with the person as mentioned above

The reception staff when booking in was very helpful, on the Friday at 23.30ish. Very pleasant helpful. He was also helpful and friendly on further interactions

On our day of departure we were advised that our suitcases could be stored, securely as our ferry wasn’t until 23.59 on Monday night. The receptionist, when we checked out took our cases and locked them away. She was very helpful. However, when we came back later in the evening the new receptionist was not at all friendly or helpful. In fact she was rude. I accept she could speak English and was could not speak French but even with the assistance of Google search she was less than helpful as one of our party had thought he had mislaid his wallet. The receptionist was abrupt and surly. This is such a shame as this is our last impression of the hotel.

The hotel is located near the beach, the post office, and many lovely restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff members were pleasant, multilingual, and helped us with our luggage. I am very pleased with our stay.

Great location right by the harbour for restaurants etc and two minutes to the station. Comfy bed and very good breakfast. Helpful staff

Great location, if you’re after a pit stop - this is the place to book.

We chose the location as we wanted something close as we got off the ferry, it was literally a 5 minute drive. Spot on. The lady checking us in was wonderful, very polite and accommodating.

The breakfast area was very cramped. With room for around 30 people in total. There had been a toilet leak the night before, and whilst every effort had been made to repair and clean up, there was still a stagnant waste smell in the reception. Which was open into the breakfast room.

A great value hotel for a one night stay.

Great value for an overnight stay and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was also good value. Only thing to fault was the tv didn’t work with the remote and couldn’t find another way of turning it on.

The room was clean and cheap for a one night stop. Easy to find and fairly close to the harbour area. Parking directly opposite the hotel, which was very convenient.

The bed wasn't very comfortable, the pillows were very hard. Not the best nights sleep.

Staff were very nice

The room was minimalist. No bedside tables though small one could have easily fitted, no place to store one's luggage, the cupboard unusable as a third bed was stored in it. Heaven knows how it could be used as the room was terribly small. The heating was far too loud. Breakfast weird. Plenty of soft bread but no toaster.

It was far too basic. There was no furniture in the room apart from the bed and the entire hotel was soul-less. The breakfast was basic as was the breakfast room itself and the furniture in the dining room was plastic.
