Hands down the best place I stayed with a private host and I stayed in a lot of pllaces!
I had to arrive very late and leave early and was accomodated amd felt really cared for. The Lady that rund the Guesthouse is the warmest, most caring and genuine person ever. I felt like at home, like at a perfect home.
Thr breakfast was fab, really hotel 5☆ style.
The house is lovely, warm, suuuuuuper clean. I stayed in a large room with a beautiful very large bathroom. I was provided with everything I could have needed, from toiletries to bottled water, kettle, tea, coffee...
And the bed. The bed and the bedding were really top class, I regrett I didn't check what matress was there, I have not slept so comfortably in a very long time (and I have sciatica, so I am quite fussy).
I travel to Belfast occasionally and I will always from now on stay in the Madden Guest House.

Breakfast was a typical Irish style but you can request toast cereals if you’d prefer. Very approachable and friendly host

Really cosy room, lovely and warm. Maggie was a great host ideal base for me and doing the historical family tree search’s in Armagh and Down
