THE WORST AND MOST DEPRESSING HOTEL IN THE WORLD

This is the first negative review ive ever written so for me to do this it must be bad. Reading previous reviews I was optimistic when booking this place and I can confirm I echo every single negative comment anyone has ever left on this place, they are all telling the truth and are not exaggerating at all. The owner responds to them apologising and explaining they are sorry and they will try and resolve the issues but it is very apparent the lack of care or effort that goes into making this hotel a pleasant place to stay. They will probably reply to me with the same empty words story like they have everyone else who has left a bad review but its obvious nothing will change. I can guarantee this place will be shut down in 5 years either due to falling down or closing down due to lack of customers. Where do I begin with the bad points on this hotel, there is too many to point out. I may forget some but I will try my best to remember all of them. The first one being that the whole place looks completely abandoned and has a very eerie feeling to it like a ghost town, absolutely soulless with a depressing energy surrounding the whole place. Furthermore it is very obvious that since the structure was built, they have not spent a single penny on maintenence, the place is literally falling apart. The place is verging on dangerous. I would not like to take children here. There is a horrendous fusty and moldy smell that surrounds every corner of the building and it is not pleasant when you enter your room. The beds in the rooms are rock hard, sometimes I felt like sleeping on the wooden chair on the balcony, I may have been comfier. The WiFi is shocking, they have around 8 different WiFi options to connect to and none of them work. The air con in the room was pathetic, I think a paper fan would have kept me cooler.

Trust me, stay away... Images from the hotel is nothing like the real thing

I ensured to wait with the review, to when I am calm again. So this is the honest review. This is not neither 4/5 star hotel, this is a bad 2 star hotel. Every time we passed the reception someone was standing at the front desk complaining... The staff and manager didn't care about any of it. Even one time they were yelling at each other, talking about calling the police. We tried to get a refund after the first night. I could make a long list of bad things, but above text says everything. The worst thing was the extremely hard bed with springs going into your back. It seems like absolutely nothing has been maintain for 20+ years.

Nothing was good

Dirty room including bed, which had bed bugs and we didn’t sleep(at all) No toilet paper or any shampoo(was useless anyway since there wasn’t any hot water. Breakfast(which they charge 200Baht/pp is absolutely terrible, you can choose from fried egg/cold sausage(keep in mind we came at 8am exactly and they start 8am and it was cold already😂)tomato, cucumber and rice… Staff was not helpful at all, during our check in they let us wait for a room for over an hour(after the check-in time) and the reason was they were “cleaning” the room… The entire outside area (pools, playground, sunbeds) looked like straight out of horror movie. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but after the first night we decided to check out and leave the hotel immediately as everything including the vibe was wrong. We kindly asked for a refund after explaining the situation(with respect) the gentleman, probably the manager laughed at us and told us to talk to booking with a huge smile on his face. do not recommend this place, double the price as some other places in Krabi yet it’s not even half the quality.

Nice hotel but keep your things locked away

Unfortunately we only had our towels changed once within our 4 nights of staying in the hotel. Also I’ve noticed since unpacking that a pair of jeans & a top had been taken out of my suitcase which I’m very disappointed about.

Do not stay here! Iv never left a hotel review before but if this can stop even one person from booking It will be worth It. Half our lights didn’t work in the room, the receptionist was very rude, they got lost bringing us to the room and my husband had to carry out luggage up and down the stairs 3 times until the found It, the beds are literally hard as rock- it’s a spring with a wood platform on It- It was unbearable. Sheets were sandy, no towels left in the room, unable to assist with taxi bookings and also just not close to anything other than the night market. You will have to take a taxi (apx 150 baht one way) everytime you want to go into town. There are so many options in Ao Nang, don’t choose this one.

Lovely hotel but feeling tired!

Room was amazing and huge. Lovely view over the pool area. Provided with a kettle and fridge so everything well covered. Overall, enjoyable stay..

Stairs down to the pool in the D section were filthy and had broken glass on them. Even after reporting this, no one swept them. It would only have taken 5 minutes with a brush! Found a couple of members of staff didn't seem very welcoming. Perhaps because we arrived with other family members who were staying elsewhere, maybe they thought we planned to squeeze us all in the same room. That definitely wasn't the case, though. Shame the pool bar was not operating, I suspect the hotel is running tight on their operating costs, so closing a few facilities might be how they keep running.

Pleasant enough - needs some time out in to it.

You can tell the property was once rather luxurious! Our room was clean and nice. Pool area was large. Overall a nice stay. Could be something special with a few tweaks. Bathroom good, both shower and bath. Working fridge and nice balcony, room was huge.

Okay so it’s obvious this place hasn’t recovered well from Covid - it’s in need of a revamp and a lot of the areas which make it appealing aren’t open. Such as swim up bar etc. no lighting in common areas like lobby and in general need of TLC. Our room was fine and only there for 2 ‘nights so not much of an issue. Not enough sun loungers round the pool.

1 Very overpriced, this is not a 4/5star hotel as booking and google promote. 2 Very unconfortable bed and pillows. Couldn't sleep. 3 Swimming pools are dirty. Didn't go in. 4 Lift doesn't work. The Palace is huge and has so many different buildings, took us around 10min to get to the room. 5 No soap or toilet paper in the toilets of the hotel, disgusting toilet seats. 6 Hotel and surroundings look abandoned. 7 Dirty room and Hotel in general. 8 No outdoor bars

The staff did not pay attention to your any special offer no matter what just twin bed. This hotel should not be 5star hotel. There are no towel and hair dryer in room. No one get the stuffs to your room. You have to get it at the check in counter. I asked for the hair dryer and she said the other rooms got it and not give back so no more hair dryer, please understand us. The staff gossip the customer in one room to another room that they just want the staff to give the towels to their room. This is the most horrible hotel ever since I booked from Booking.com. I will not recommend this hotel to others to get the bad experience from here.

Peaceful stay that exceeded our expectations

Huge room and a balcony with a pool view. The property is stunning. The pool area was great with big deep (1,50m) pool depth. Very peaceful stay as it seemes like the hotel wasn't fully booked. The hotel is located in a peaceful area but still within a walkable distance from Ao Nang main road. The staff were extremely helpful and responded quickly to any requests we had during our stay.

Nothing major to complain about, everything was great. What could be mentioned is that the bed is rather uncomfortable. The mattress was very hard and we could feel the wires poking through. The place is under some renovation and is obviously a little rundown. We had some issues with our bathroom bidet shower leaking but this was fixed very quickly by the staff. You shouldn't come here expecting some luxurious 5-star hotel experience. Instead you'll have a unique and pieceful stay.

Value for money but don’t expect 5* facilities and experience when you aren’t paying for it

This is a beautiful property. Huge rooms. Large pool area. Our room had a separate living area and patio leading directly down to the pool. Perfect location close to the gorgeous long sandy beach of Ao Nang Much cheaper than a typical hotel of this type so you can’t expect a true 5* experience. Our room looked recently decorated and lovely (although on closer inspection a few bits had missed the paint brush)

We agree with the general reviews about this hotel and went in not expecting much. You get what you pay for and in many ways the hotel was good. Only real sticking point for us was the room temperature. We knew the air con only went to 25C and had practiced at a previous hotel and found it fine. However I think other air cons overshoot the temperature and this one definitely doesn’t. Shame facilities such as the bar in the pool are not in operation. Our bathroom was not fully cleaned when we went in.

Misleading photos, unmaintained facilities, toxic air quality.

There was thankfully staff available at around 23h00 when we arrived due to travel delays and desperately needed to sleep.

The photos shown on Booking are from roughly 20 years ago. Since then, this place has fallen on hard times and it may not have received more than a few days of maintenance. Nothing matches the colour and vibrancy from the listing; instead, be prepared for surly staff and outdated facilities. Worst of all was the air quality in the rooms (yes, we examined multiple) - the smell of mould was evident and we woke up with sinus issues. All you need to know is that we booked and paid for a full week's stay and we checked out after a single night. Stay somewhere else.

Termites in the bed !

The place looked very pretty . Some of thr staff were very nice

Elevator didn't work and had to carry our own bags to the 3rd floor . The owners/managers ( 2 young boys) were very rude and unhelpful . They could speak English fluently and watched as I struggled to communicate with the staff about a problem we had, the other staff were very friendly. The bed had termites and broke in the middle of the night and the 2 managers made myself and the other staff walk up and down to the rooms to prove that there were termites.

From the outside and from the sea it’s a beautiful building. The staff were fine.

The place is so worn, it needs a full refurb. - WiFi not working very well. - Lifts broken - Toilets out of order in lobby - Mould on the tables where they serve breakfast. - clumps of hair in the hall way. - stains on the bedding Outside, there is a handful of sun loungers, the floor and water is so dirty. The water is green and there looks to be dirt around the edges that the filters may not work right. To sum it up, it looks like an abandoned building.

The pool area was ok. The pool itself was clean, but the area around was dirty with mouldy sunbeds.

When checking in, we asked to see the room before paying after reading all the bad reviews. The girl at the front desk showed us the room, but she didn't understand any English. First impressions were good, but the room smelled really mouldy. Especially when we turned on the A/C. The bedding was dirty. Towels smelled weird and sour. The bed was hard. Mould in the bathroom. We both got coughing and dizziness while being in the room. But after going out in fresh air, it disappeared. The dust in our room was just swept outside the door. The room itself was not very clean upon arrival.

Not bad, but could be much better.

We loved the place itself, it was grand and luxurious looking at first glance. The room was spacious and the pool was huge! The staff is kind and polite, very helpful. And caring, they checked in several days into our trip. I can't complain too much, the staff made this stay better than it would have been otherwise. When we mentioned what was wrong, they fixed/resolved the issues.

When we started to look closer at things, it was clear the place overall was in need of repairs and painting. But the facilities themselves were still okay to use. The only disappointment was a very dirty floor towel in the bathroom that should have been binned. And never placed in a room in the first place. We mentioned this and a day later they were removed from the room. There was an air con leak, but it was fixed once mentioned. Another thing to mention was that they use two bedsheets instead of a duvet cover, so you do see the duvet itself (and any potential stains). I'd recommend getting proper duvet covers. I'd also recommend having a repair man check the rooms and everything in them. It would make things much better. Again. Could be much worse. I'm not complaining at all, just mentioning this so they know what to improve.

Horrible Experience

The property images on booking.com are deceiving, we were given F block which is a km away from the lobby, and if you return late, you will get a horrific feeling as there were no lights throughout the path towards block F, no WiFi in the room, the bathroom tub and sink had no stopper, so we were always extra cautious..

I reported twice to customer care to tell about the rude staff and really rude owner as well. They really don't care if you are on honeymoon or anything!? They didn't have lifts working, no bell boys available no rooms service. The food is also not worth the while, as they don't have kitchen so no rooms service plus no lunch and dinner. All you get is breakfast. My heart broke as my wife was really upset at this booking of ours. Really reported for refund, never staying again.

Disappointing, slightly dangerous, and a potential health hazard

Like- old style architecture and close to the beach.

The whole experience was terrible. - Bed/Linens/Towels- all had stains (blood/ink/ bleach). Some pillows even had moisture stains. (Hotel staff did change them when asked) -They will not have in room wifi until 2024 (not mentioned before arrival). - no elevator, no bell hop -pool is dirty -The beds are hard and uncomfortable. - staff does not respect do not disturb signs and will go into the room. . Front desk has a key drop off for room cleaning- we did NOT drop off the key AND had the do not disturb sign on- staff still went into the room and moved our things around. The “cleaning” meant they took towels and did not replace them, did not refill hand soap, nor clean floors. They “made the bed” and rearranged our personal belongings. Oh and the balcony was connected to the next room with no way to lock the wooden panel. Breakfast was mediocre and most of the front desk staff was abrupt.

There was a bit of a language barrier. A complaint was taken as a compliment. A lot of amenities were out of order, and this could be due to the season just beginning. Food was plain, bland, and not worth wasting time on. Room, however, was pleasantly traditional and clean. A major overhaul to the whole building wouldn't go a miss.

The receptionists didn’t speak english, and they seemed rude, I didnt feel very welcome. Everything is very slow. Dirty towels. They have moldy rooms, and don’t care if you get sick. In check in they give you this ”no refund” paper so that you will not get any money back if you complain! I would avoid this hotel at all costs.

The AC is limited to 25C, we had to move the bed under the ceiling fan and slept with the door open one day because it was cooler outside! The beds were hard. The property is in need of maintenance, paint is very faded, tiles broken and falling off, pool leaking out walls, no pool towels
