It was an average stay. I would give it a 3 star rating

The ladies at reception were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was decent and the room was clean. The pool area looked nice

The rooms was outdated. The cushions on the chairs looked worn. It was a little out of the way for the touristy area.

Needs renovation but good location

Location is good. Short bike or taxi drive to Ao Nang beach and all infrastructure. The design of the building is also quite appealing Thai style. Reception can help you with booking of tours , give some tips and also rent a motorbike

Big problem with shower, no proper shower head both in standing shower and bathtub, the waterflow is crazy either goes all into your face and hair or no water at all, first too hot then too cold, in the end no water you need to wait for it to start again….. Doors on the balcony do not close properly so when our neighbors were smoking non stop, all smoke was in our room. It’s a little bit outdated, no phone in the room to contact reception, no basic toiletries like toothbrush or so. The main door has quite big gaps so we would find lizards in the room when we were back. Breakfast options are super limited.

Location was satisfactory

Cleanliness, food was poor choice and poor quality. Air con was sub standard. Mainly the two lady owners were extremely rude , not just to us but I witnessed them being dreadful to another couple staying at the resort.

The Pool area and size of rooms

The Manager /Receptionist was autocratic and nothing short of rude to me and guests that came over to visit me. On two separate occasions I saw her having the same interaction with other guests. I reported that the shower was blocked on day one and twice after that as it was flooding the entire bathroom. Nothing was done . Breakfast was below average and I only attended once in the entire week.

A pleasant stay but would not return. A few improvements required

Away from the main hustle and bustle of Ao Nang. Free shuttle bus to the town. The resort was nice and quiet and sun lounges were plentiful

The pool was somewhat dirty on days. We didn’t receive housekeeping for the 3 nights we were there. The aircon was unpredictable and cold which meant when it was turned up so we didn’t freeze the bugs arrived

The pool was cleaner than the room.

The room was very musty. The chair cushions and headboard were stained. The walls had mold. Breakfast was included but horrible it gave me diarrhea twice. Staff were stingy with acquiring water for drinking and coffee.

We will return - loved our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Andamanee the hotel had a real homely feel, the staff were amazingly friendly we were greeted by the resident fur babies (very loved dogs) on a regular basis. The hotel offered everything we required and we made good use of the free shuttle to the night markets and beach.

Great value in a nice quiet location with very nice staff

Loved the traditional materials used in the building especially the reception area. Lovely gardens. The location is out of the main area so the hotel is lovely and quiet, we had a hire car so travelling around to explore wasn’t a problem and it was nice to return to such a quiet place. Bhiraya, the owner was lovey to deal with and made us feel very welcome. It was great value for money. The room was spacious and had everything we needed and was cleaned on request. There were a couple of small areas that were a bit tired around the pool but nothing that would put us off staying again.

There were very few guests at the hotel when we stayed so it wasn’t fully staffed which we understand, however this did mean that the pool probably didn’t get cleaned as often as it would do with full occupancy and resulted in a lot of insects floating in the surface. However this is a lovely place with plenty of potential to be extremely good with just a little attention to the small details

Krabi is where thai people vacation.

Staff is a family, and very helpful for things to do. The dogs on the property are very friendly but not to be petted. The view from breakfast is an amazing mountain in the distance.

Sometimes outside of the venue there is a smell from the elephant sanctuary, close by. The courtyard is filled with flowers, that smell amazing.

Serene resort away from the hustle and bustle

Beautiful property that, although older, is very well maintained. The Central pavilion and pool areas are very welcoming spaces as are the immaculate gardens. The rooms are very spacious. The AC units are older but work well. The breakfasts are served in the beautiful open air upper verandah and feature made to order and buffet choices. The Beach is about a 20 min walk away and the hotel provides regular shuttle services. Scooters are also available for rent.

As everywhere in Thailand, plumbing is capricious so please be gentle with the toilets.

Not amazing

The accommodation offers a free transport to the City centre and the Ao Nang beach, which is great. I liked the size of the room, as well as the garden. The staff is friendly.

The wifi was not working properly. The cleaning staff was loud in the morning nearby the rooms. Breakfast options are not so great. Only beach towels available, no room towels.

Comfortable, friendly, large pool and good value stay.

We did like the shallow pool for our child to splash about in and the hosts were trying hard to help every guest. Just got the feeling that they were always busy and could never rest. Hard working friendly people. The room was large enough and had a nice bathroom and balcony. The bed was comfortable too.

Like many reviews the breakfast could be improved. They seemed quite stingy when ordering like it was going out of their way to cook you a sausage. The sausage was not good either. It was amusing listening to every guest asking for fresh milk which doesn't seem to exist in Thailand. (only UHT). The place overall could do with some TLC, it's old now and a bit worn but still lovely and I can understand it would be expensive to refurbish for a family run hotel.

Exceptional

the staff at this hotel are the most helpful, kind, caring people I have come across. i ended up being stuck in phang nga and booked a stay here. the manager organised a taxi from krabi as we were stuck, gave me regular updates on the taxis whereabouts. apon arrival we were greeted with smiles and shown to our rooms, we were delivered food from the hotel at 11pm. In the morning we were greeted again with smiles, and taken in a free taxi to our next hotel a couple of miles away. as I’m staying in krabi not to far, I will be booking all tourist activities via Andamanee hotel, and using the shuttles bus. all the worries were taken away by simple kindness. these people deserve endless amounts of business and to have a good name behind them.

Super friendly, awesome place. Wonderful pool and classic wood lobby. Travel much and this is tops on my list. Glad to have stayed at this gem of a hotel so close to beach. Free hourly shuttle to ao nang beach. Kismet.

wonderful people in a beautiful place

The hotel is quite isolated from the town, but it didn't prevent us from enjoying our staying, we usually used the morning transfer (9.00), went to the Railay beach by long-tail boat, returned from the town again by transfer at 17.00, then went to the center to have dinner and walked back after 22.00. The distance from the center was quite long, but after dinner it was useful to walk). Sometimes we took a taxi, went felt tired. The territory of the hotel is clean and cozy, we swam sometimes in the swimming pool, the water was hot!! It was really great as I came from Sweden absolutely sick, and just 1 day of staying in this warmth was enough to get recovered. I recommend travelling to Railay Beach, it is fantastic! We took breakfast 3 times, it was the usual traditional European breakfast with local fruit, quite tasty and nice! The dogs living in the hotels are just one love!!! See you all next year for sure! Thank you sooooooo much!

Pleasant

The garden like setting was nice. Except for the frogs in the pond outside our room, it was quiet.The room was large and comfortable.

What really ruined the experience of staying at andamanee resort was the loud aircon. Not only was the average sound level rather high, it also sounded like a helicopter was taking of in our room every half hour or so. This woke us up while sleeping and it was to hot to sleep with the aircon off. On complaining about it and asking for a different room we were told that this was normal for a big airconditioner and that it was the same in all rooms. I stay in hotels nine months out of the year, for my work and know for sure that such a noisy aircon is NOT normal, NOWHERE!.

Hotel in a quiet neighbourhood at the border of Ao Nang

Very quiet and beautiful neigbourhood but still very close to the center of Ao Nang by taxi or scooter. Superb staff that tries to make the best out of your trip. They can also offer you good prices to rent a scooter, book trips, etc.

The breakfast is a bit sober but ok for two or three nights. We stayed a whole week so we missed some variation. The resort is a bit older though well maintained.

Great resort with an amazing host and free shuttle to the beach

The host is amazing,she's taking care of you when you need it, she's always available and you can talk to her on WhatsApp which is efficient and quick. We felt like we where in a guest house with such a good care not in a big resort. There's a big and clean pool. The beach is a bit far away, but there's a free shuttle to the beach every day at fixed times. The location is nice because it's quiet. The room is very big, there's a view of the mountian and it is clean. We initially booked for 3 nights but ended up extending 3 more nights because we had such a good stay!

The breakfast could use more variety for the price.

Well laid out resort with huge and impressive main foyer. Large, decent pool area. Quiet setting. The hosts are fantastic and really make you feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms are large, with great balconies for sitting out on in the evenings.

The resort could do with some attention in some areas, mainly paintwork. The air con is loud and powerful, with no reduced setting. I could not sleep with it on, and with it off it was very hot.

Relaxing hotel in nature

The location is very calm and relaxing. It is a bit far from city center but the free shuttle every 2 hours is helpful. Last one is at 7, maybe one more during the evening would have been perfect. All the staff is lovely with good advice, it was definitely the best host we had in Thailand. The swimming pool is amazing. Good breakfast and restaurant.

TV was a bit old but we did not watch it anyway. No soap for hands in the the bathroom.

Comfortable, enjoyable and quiet

The resort is in a great location, quiet and immersed in nature, but quite close to the beach (they also offer a free shuttle service to and from Ao Nang beach). Our room was big and spacious, with a lovely balcony furnished with a coffee table, and we highly enjoyed spending some time at the pool & pool area. There is a family-run restaurant too open all day for food and drinks as well, so if you decide to have a quiet day in you'll have everything you need to enjoy yourself. The resort also has a few scooters for rent, and if they are all rented out they will arrange one for you themselves. Although the resort as a few buildings it is in fact a family business and this only adds to the atmosphere! We absolutely loved meeting Su at the reception - she was incredibly helpful, arranging transport/rental for us and giving us all the information we needed both when we stayed and when we left. She is a lovely person, great fun to talk to, and always up for a good chat. We could tell that she genuinely loved meeting people and we felt more like old friends than guests although it was our first stay. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

Family run hotel with not too many rooms. Very helpful and supporting hotel manager. Breakfast is good with enough diversity for 7-10 days. Enjoyed the beach shuttle service several times. That helps with the little far distance to the beach, but there for you do not have loud music in the night.

Exceptional

It's located near Ao Nang beach, it has a every day free shuttle service that takes you to Aonang and returns frequently during the day. I travel alone and I have never found a place with such special customer service. The Hotel manager and owner is exceptional, she is always willing to help at any time. She guides and advises you on all those things that travelers need in the best possible way regardless of the time it takes. You can also book every thing you need from the hotel, boat tours, massages, tickets, taxi, scooters... The rooms are large and the shower is like a waterfall. The service is very good, and everything is really clean. The Resort has a large living room with wooden coffered ceiling and very stylish. It is a quiet and beautiful place where to rest after the day's activities. It has 3 swimming pools of different depth and a beautiful garden with palm trees and lots of diferent plants and trees. The cook is very good. Come and order their green curry with prawns, delicious!. I was there15 days, it was an amazing stay!. Highly recomended!
