A cozy stay with amazing staff!

It was my first time staying in a hostel and I have to say it was a really pleasant experience. The staff were absolutely wonderful (some of the best I’ve ever seen), the room I stayed in was great and offered excellent privacy and the bathrooms/showers were clean.

There’s nothing I consider bad, but I do think there’s room for improvement. The bed area could use an extra power socket, the room could have more hooks to hang clothes, and the common area would benefit from having a water tap so guests don’t need to go to the bathroom for that.

Great location, easy and quick check-in and check-out, friendly staff, complimentary tea and coffee, cozy room, large comfortable beds with privacy curtains, clean everywhere, and the ability to leave luggage.

The hostel I’ll always choose when in Köln!

Friendly staff, clean room, perfect for one night. I forgot my charging adapter and the staff located one for me which saved me! They were super helpful and welcoming. The room was cosy and perfect for a hostel - you have the right amount of privacy and space.

One of the toilets was slightly blocked and the elevator was slightly faulty but wasn’t too much of a bother.

Really lovely hostel - highly recommend.

This was our first time staying in a hostel, so I didn't know what to expect. The accommodation exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, and there were several bathrooms, showers and toilets available. Despite the noise from the street and bar below, when the window was closed, you couldn't hear a thing. The staff were very kind, providing us with 10% vouchers for food and drink, as well as a free drink voucher each.

Great stay

I stayed in the shared room and the beds were amazing. The size of a double bed with a privacy curtain so loads of room to spread yourself out. Also they provide big lockers and keys so no need to bring a padlock etc. Location was perfect for shopping and eating establishments. Showers clean and hot and staff were very accommodating.

The room was quite hot at night. Also there was no way to open and close the door quietly without feeling like you were disturbing everyone else.

Mattress was not very comfortable for two people as it dips in the centre. The hostel is on a noisy street. Can get very stuffy unless you leave the windows open but see above: noisy. It's a fair way from the station.

Above expectations

The dorm had a double sized bed and I didn't have to deal with the bedding. Privacy curtains were much appreciated too. A modern look! The showers had good pressure, water and coffee available in the common area and a free beer on arrival at the bar. Lots of good things!

I wish the bunk had its own fan because it was extremely hot in the summer month and one fan per room didn't help top bunkers.

Absolutely loved it, would definitely come back!

It was great! you get essentially a cubby of a double bed with a privacy curtain. Along with a big window showing off the city. The lockers were big and easily lockable with provided locks. It’s a good distance from most places, with a nice cafe over the road and of course the bar downstairs. Staff was super friendly and talkative.

The door didn’t lock, which was odd. They do require a passport for checking in, which was a little weird, but not unreasonable.

The best hostel I have ever stayed in. Takes staying in a hostel to a whole other level. Would have been good to have gluten free options as well as vegan for breakfast. Otherwise, an exceptional stay!

The absence of gf as above and the showers seemed to get clogged quite easily. Can’t think of anything else to feedback. I wish all hostels where like yours!

Great decor and mostly friendly staff but uncomfortable.

Great price, location, friendly staff (except cleaning couple) and the space room decor is amazing!

- The beds are TERRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE, it's just like sleeping on a sheet plywood and the pillows are also terrible . We couldn't sleep well at all (and we are used to hard mattresses but that was just so bad). The whole point was to rest before driving a long way so it was a fail even though the space room looked amazing. - While the bar and reception staff were super friendly, the cleaners were super loud from 7am and when asked to pip down a bit they just continued to chat and make noises so we couldn't sleep more... As an hostel expectations for low noise are low but still ...

Spacious and clean rooms with great value

The rooms were so spacious, clean, and very nicely organized and designed. Loved that it was not a typical crowded hostel situation and everyone had enough space in both the rooms and shared spaces to relax and enjoy.

Not exactly near the main station and places of interest but it still had good public transport connections nearby.

Amazing

Overall it was great :) the facility was very clean and the staffs were nice. They gave me 10% off voucher for the cafe on the ground floor :) They have plenty of bathroom, and one of them was huge with bathtub.

The mattress didn’t fit me and my body hurt when I woke up the next morning.

Friendly and welcoming stay.

We only stayed in Köln for one night while Interrailing, and I honestly wish we’d stayed longer in the city and at the hostel. The atmosphere was great, and the staff we spoke to were helpful, warm and friendly. The communal areas were clean and welcoming, our room was incredibly clean, the beds were comfortable and I loved how it was decorated. We are looking forward to returning in December for the Christmas markets.

great accommodation

In terms of comfort, it was one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. The beds are spacious and offer some privacy thanks to the curtains on the beds. There's plenty of storage space for each guest's luggage, with security. Separate and spacious bathrooms for men and women. There is a common area for quick meals. The area has plenty of bars and restaurants.

Overall a great hostel!

For a hostel I must say the beds were extremely roomy and comfortable. There were just enough rooms/people at the time of my travel for the shared bathroom not to feel crowded at all. There was always an available bathroom when I needed one. The kettle and coffee machine available for guests in the common room was also a nice touch. Since the bathrooms were located outside of the dorm rooms, apart from people coming in and out to sleep there wasn't as much noise as I've experienced in other hostels. Overall a great hostel, would definitely recommend it to other travellers.

Not a problem whatsoever for me, just worth mentioning. I arrived at 14:50 and asked to check-in (check-in was at 15). I did and I was given a key, however my room wasn't ready and I was told that I should wait another 30min or so. It just happened that I had something booked and had to leave the property shortly which rushed me a bit. However, the staff was super helpful and allowed me to use the showers and by the time I was done, the room was ready. A bit of a stressful afternoon on my side, however everything worked out and the staff tried their best to help. They even offered to keep my backpack behind their desk.

Wonderful hostel that was unique, clean, and a great value with friendly, helpful staff.

Friendly staff, super clean - everywhere, coffee/tea avail all day. The bar was cozy and funky- great atmosphere. The entire stay there were a lot of guests but we still had as much privacy as we wanted, as well as the opportunity to engage with others if we wanted. A good balance. We never had to wait for a bathroom or shower. And they were super clean.

The bed wasn't super comfortable, and I would have liked access to a fridge. Minor issue.

absolutely best spot in köln to stay. great staff at check in and out….great rooms with really solid furniture and shower/toilet amenities, clean and well maintained, i met people at the living room and the bar downstairs is also a place to meet people (especially on social wednesdays!) the area is hip with loads of bars and restaurants open at night.

Stayed in the private double room. It was really nicely decorated, very spacious and everything was very clean. Towels were provided and there was free tea and coffee in the 24/7 living room. The location was nice and was very convenient to get to the popular areas. Loved our stay here and would definitely come again.

A tiny thing but the water took quite long to drain away in the shower, it was like standing in a deep puddle sometimes.
