Good location, but never again.

The location was great. One lady receptionist on the Friday evening was helpful, giving us utensils very kindly.

The bathroom was dirty and had bugs. Under the bed was not cleaned as there was rubbish from when we checked in. Generally staff were very robotic and were unable to even crack a smile.

Sleep at Night in the room

It is mentioned 4 star hotel but not provide any facility in the room. no dental kit, no chapel and no drinking water and no kettle. I stayed for 3 days and they charge for 4 days, making money unethical. no choices of breakfast. entry of rooms is like puzzles, enter in a floor and step down and step up to reach rooms. No support staff to bring luggage even and it is called 4 star facility. Not given room bills too. Very poor not at all value of money.

An Elegant and Comfortable Hotel.

An elegant hotel in a party area, stylish décor and friendly staff with large rooms and good facilities.

A high-ish price, location in the party zone on the inner ring-road is not as salubrious as the hotel interior... Should have a kettle in the room if trying to be a British-style hotel.

Clean but cold

Spacious room, clean, vintage style, they have elevator.

The stuff we're not so friendly. At 11:03 they wanted to charge us for the coffee that was supposed to be free just because the checked out time passed 3mins. Also because we were a bit late to leave the room 11:10, they made a huge complaint. Of course I cannot be sure if this is a matter of culture as we are Mediterraneans and we behave differently if someone has a bit late checkout

Spacious and friendly hotel, great value

Very nice location. Interesting decoration and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Loved the reception dog greeting us. It was simple to get in and out of main sights and plenty of places to eat and drink in the vicinity. We did worry about noise as room faced main road but never heard a thing! Breakfast was a very good spread and the ‘to go’ coffee was a great touch. Would like to stay longer next time as great value for money.

Only that on returning Saturday evening from restaurant groups of Turkish young men were loitering around steps drinking and didn’t seem inclined to move out of way to let us in. But property itself and the staff were fantastic

Perfect

The hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. I arrived early after requesting to leave my bags until the room was ready but they already had the room ready so it was great timing. It was incredibly comfortable and so relaxing after several days of travel. I took a business card so I can remember to stay there again.

Great hotel for its price, friendly staff and comfy rooms!

The room was clean, spacious and had every amenity we expected. As we were only staying for one night we couldn't discover the whole hotel, but if I'm ever back in Cologne, this is where I will stay. Great location, great staff, great rooms.

In this hotel you fine everything you need, Staff super kind, i lost my glasses in a taxi and They helped me to call the taxi company and make sure they find them. The morning after the taxi driver bring me my glasses at the hotel. Hotel very clean and comfotable room.

Pictures give the impression of a modern interior and "newness", but the building and for example carpets and bathroom was a bit outdated. No fridge in a 4 star hotel.

Naja. Das Badezimmer war im Gegensatz zum Rest des Zimmers modern. Personal sehr freundlich.

Zimmer Einrichtung wirkte sehr alt 70er 80er, Tapete dunkelgrün, Zimmer wirkte allgemein dunkel, (Nicht wie im Internet abgebildet ) Also für ein 4 Sterne Hotel haben wir was anderes erwartet 🤷‍♂️ Höchstens 2 Sterne. Aber für 1 Nacht zum schlafen kann man machen. Am Wochenende kein Frühstück? Parkhaus inakzeptabel, sehr eng und gruselig 😳

Locatie, ruime kamer, erg schoon. Locatie vlakbij centrum, plm 20 minuten wandelen tot de Dom en centraal station.

Geen koffie/theefaciliteiten op de kamer. Nabijheid van nachtclubs, kan rumoerig zijn tot diep in de nacht.

ich werde wieder im "the ascot" übernachten wenn ich wieder nach köln komme

wie die beiden male vorher schon, war ich mit dem zimmer, dem personal und mit der lage restlos zufrieden. alles war wie immer super. wieder mal muss ich das personal loben, man fühlt sich echt gast. trotz innenstadlage ist das zimmer ruhig.

das preis/leistungsverhältnis war diesmal nicht ganz so gut wie bei den beiden letzten besuchen, 30% teurer als meine besuche davor, aber das kommt wahrscheinlich durch den karneval.

Badkamer erg verouderd. Net als tapijt, wordt gewoon smoezelig. We hebben voor deze prijs beter gehad rond om Keulen.
