Belgian quarter, nice street

My room was on the 5th floor, last floor up by stairs. I have fear of heights, so only by elevator I will go there. Elevator stopped on 4th floor and then stairs. A very nice Polish receptionist, lady, booked me another room right away! Great location. Not great but affordable and ok.

In general reception people do not even look at you when you leave or arrive.

Convenient for bars and restaurants in the area, but on a noisy street which impacted on our sleep.

Easy to find. Handy got lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Near to the Aachener Weiher parkrun which was the reason for the trip.

Our room (3rd floor) looked out onto the main road. It was very noisy. The noise impacted our sleep. Bars were open until late, and then even noisy in early hours of the morning.

Good location with good connections

There was no way to lock the room. 4 times in the night someone actually came into my room. I barely slept and did not feel safe. It was dirty, moldy and broken.

Not welcoming place

The location was great, the area was very vivid and it was well connected.

It was dirty. I had to clean my bathroom on the first day before using it, there was a lot of hair and beard hair especially all over the place. The bed wasn’t comfortable, nor it was my pillow. All the days I woke up with neck pain. Except from Petra (who was the only nice person) the people in the reception was extremely rude and not polite, so too it happened during the breakfasts; they were not only not nice but sometimes even aggressive. The food at breakfast wasn’t fresh, they fruit bowl for example wasn’t changed and the last day it was rotten.

Hotel Conti here we come again😉

Fantastic location (close to U-Bahn) in a lively neighbourhood with loads of restaurants. Good breakfast and very kind staff (reception, breakfast, rooms). The room was compact, normal as we went for the compact roomrate. Beds are compfy, NO bedbugs (I checked) bathroom good size

Rooms are dated, price is high for what you get, there are cheaper options nearby which are 4 star hotels. The rude lady at the desk completely put us off ever staying here again, as a regular here, this was absolutely our last time.

Very good

The furniture fits the room, so you can move around. Area nice, tram nearby. Excellent food in relaxed ambience at the Metzger in Aachener Strasse. Opposite the church of St Michael you find a family owned bakery - they actually use real butter in their croissants.

Party noise from the street. The windows helps if closed. One of us had difficulties falling asleep - the others slept. Facing the court: no problem. Or if you join the party, I guess.

Old and ugly but surprisingly comfortable.

Breakfast was amazing. Good for choice, fresh and even has both scrambled and boiled eggs. Close to tram lines which go directly through town, area really lovely late at night with lots of restaurants but not noisy. Heaters and heated towel rack.

My budget room was old and dusty. Elevator goes only 3.5 floors, the last three flights only accessible with stairs.

receptionist on arrival was perfect she was really lovely and make me feel comfortable as a solo traveller And advise me on Waze it’s which was perfect. the room was a little noisy for me because it was over the street and the person on the opposite side of the corridor was Slamming her door she said it was because the lock didn’t work but the receptionist downstairs In the morning said it was the way that she was closing the door I was in doubt about this otherwise the room is clean good location if I hadn’t been woken up through the night with a banging door then it was a nice place to stay

no reception telephone, a bit noisy as over the street. the bed was strangely a bit uncomfortable 🤔no bar!!!

The location.

The shower leaked water all over the floor. The balcony had water collecting due to the rain, no drainage. No iron in the room.

Unventilated, noisy room with impolite staff

Central location within a short walking distance from shops, bars, and restaurants

Unhelpful and impolite staff, unventilated room & noise. My partner and I arrived after 1am in the night and were given a room which was different from what we had booked, but the receptionist told us to simply deal with it. Moreover, the air in the room smelled old and used and needed some ventilation, but opening the windows meant we could hear all the noise from the surrounding bars which made it very difficult to sleep. The next morning we wanted to store our luggage for a few hours, but the hotel only had an open shelf in plain view in the hallway for it. We didn't want to risk leaving everything there and ended up carrying half of our luggage around for the rest of the day. Overall one of the worst hotels we've stayed in the past and a place we won't recommend unless you have nowhere else to stay.
