Clean spacious property in a good location.
After booking and paying via booking.com, upon arrival the host messaged asking for a bank transfer because ’the card payment system was down’.
The host proceeded to continue to request bank transfer or cash payment, and would not leave us alone until we had transferred them money, even though the booking was paid for and secured through booking.com!

A good location for the town; a 10 minute walk to most places (maybe 15 minutes back because of steps uphill !)
Warm (we were there for cold New Year and the heating was always on).
small disappointments - no corkscrew!, no kitchen towel, one toilet roll, uht milk cups supplied - we had to go out soon after arriving to find a convenience store where as all apartments we have stayed in before have supplied these items .

Spacious and comfortable with parking
Nothing

Accommodation was clean and spacious. Two bedrooms, one with double bed, other with two single beds. TV had Netflix ... bonus!
Mattresses probably need renewing but still managed good nights sleep. The walk back from St Ives was challenging
We managed but if you have mobility problems you might struggle.

This apartment is ,without doubt, attractively quirky - designed to make the most of the space and also to take full advantage of the stunning views -it is a loft conversion in an attractive older building with a Juliet balcony facing towards the sea - the property is set in lovely gardens and there was everything we needed for an easy going- come and go as you please break. -LEA the host was on site for any queries and we found her to be warm ,welcoming and readily helpful - it was a great break for us
Honestly -for the price we paid - nothing - I’ve already said it’s a loft conversion and if you bang your head it’s your fault -roofs slope
-(although comfort would be improved by a few cushions in the lounge)

Location price and sea view
Wi fi a little patchy and a few more kitchen basics oil etc would be great. Otherwise excellent

We liked the location, as we enjoy walking into and out of a place.
The apartment was tired, and the furniture was uncomfortable to sit for a whille. A comfy sofa and some updated crockery would be a good start.

Location
Close to everything. Very spacious.

Loved the location and the views from the apartment. Host was helpful and allowed us to leave our car until lunchtime on the last day so we could attend a local class.
Everything in the apartment including bedding and towels smelt of stale cigarette smoke.

The lovely host was there to greet us and was very helpful and welcoming. The apartment was very convenient and excellent value.
Booking's messaging solution was not working, leading to some difficulty in communication with the owner. This appeared to be Booking's failing and in no way affected our stay, and the host who greeted us was wonderful.

Great location and a nice view of the sea, everything we needed and comfortable.

Clean and tidy, lovely view, nice and close to local attractions.
Sofa bed was uncomfortable you can feel every bit of the frame
Unable to use the bath as it leaks there is a shower though.
No lock on the toilet door
Double doors in living area near impossible to get shut.
WiFi is from back in time before internet was introduced to the world as it was useless
Gardener blowing stones and dust all over the car in the carpark.

Good location.
Had free parking on site.
Was in the attic, slopping ceiling, so you kept banging your head, especially in the bedroom and kitchen .
No fire escape, if fire in rooms below you would be stuck.
Matteress on bed needs replacing, you can feel the springs.
Steep stairs to flat.

It was spacious, bright and clean with great sea views.
The location was high up away from the town centre, although there were regular local buses to the centre of the town.

Great view from an upstairs apartment. All the facilities we needed - fridge, washing machine, microwave, stove etc.
The upstairs apartment had sloping walls to the ceiling, causing many a bumped head and it was awkward to get to power points on the wall.

The view. parking.
On 1st impression the apartment looks nice however issues soon arise the suite in the living room the cushions are flat so they are uncomfortable, the beds are uncomfortable, the pillows are previously stated on a resent review smell of stale nicotine I coughed all night and had to buy some the next day as alternatives could not be provided towels also had the same smell and stained. the kitchen tiles were dirty and the cooker hood thick with dirt etc. bath seal black in areas dirt around taps the handles which wiped away with tissue. all the doors needed a wipe down. and be warned there is no noise insulation between downstairs and upstairs there were guest on our second and 3rd night you can hear every step they make. the bedrooms are on a busy road with traffic noise late & early,
I have never written such a bad review before and usually overlook any slight issues , I cant understand why when 2 previous reviews highlighted ( not on there at the time of booking) the issues they were not acted upon . I have also emailed the owner who does not live in Cornwall to address the concerns mentioned.
This could be a lovely place if invested in properly.

Really nice flat, kitchen fully equipped, wonderful location, loads of potential. TV, WiFi, big space, friendly great location.
More comfortable mattress needed and more attention for cleanliness

Beautiful 1 bedroom apartment, had an amazing view from the juliet balcony, real beautiful to watch the sunset with the sea view of an evening. The bathroom was brand new and super clean.
The only small thing was the sofa was a bit broken, but I was forewarned of this that the previous guests had broken it.
Otherwise, everything was perfect, the location is great and the lady who checked us in was lovely and very helpful.
Will return for sure, highly recommended :)

Leaving!
View was ok only to be let down by dirty windows that should have been replaced 30 years ago.
bathroom was ok
Everything!
bedroom was cramped with a strangely fitted bar for a wardrobe which was weirdly positioned as to take up most space.
bed was uncomfortable and due to the angles of the sloping roof standing up straight is impossible if you are over 5ft tall
thin floors so could hear everything downstairs
flat smelt of old cigarette smoke that wouldn't go even after washing things and opening windows
poorly fitted windows so very noisy as you are directly on a busy main road
kitchen was poor to say the least with poorly fitted units and no space
most uncomfortable sofa and chairs I've ever sat on with a 70's porn film vibe
this flat is a loft conversion and the stairs going up can only be described as steep, narrow and dangerous
I've stayed in St Ives many times over the years and this is by far the worst place I have stayed in to date

Allocated Parking spot came with the property was good. Lea the caretaker, was immensely helpful, respectful, and friendly person. good location.
The property description stated the apartment with a balcony, but it was only a Juliette balcony with no standing platform - once the double door was opened, three-fourths glass banister (fall protection) covered the door – no landing space. This Juliet door is the only ventilation for the whole of the apartment. No windows in the toilet/bathroom.
Due to its loft conversion, it is only able to stand straight in the middle of a narrow path. It would have been better for the owner to be transparent about the actual layout, than providing false pictures. There is nothing like what shown in the advert pictures. As we went out on sight-seeing every day, it was not a big deal, but it was inconvenient to change, keep luggage, and take things out. The manoeuvre required us to bend, so that we would not strike our heads on the ceiling. We checked out a day early because of the inconvenience of manoeuvring.
Tired looking property, both port windows bottom parts, covered in damp and cracked window too. Damp on the ceiling too. Dirt on side of the bathtub and bottom of the bathroom door.
The advert stated as non-smoking apartment, but covered in cigarette/tobacco smell, we had to buy a shake & fresh to eliminate / suppress cigarette order. Towels did not have any fresh smell either. Luckily, we carried our own towels with us.
The advert description states that toilet tissues and cleaning products provided, but none provided.
We were told to pay cash upon arrival or to transfer money to an individual name called M Shahriari (hoping that was the owner) stating that there PDQ machine was not working. Paid cash at the property. This could be an honest issue with the PDQ equipment.

This attic conversion property has a perfect location with superb views.
An included parking spot is an added bonus in St Ives. The manager, Lea, was very helpful and accommodating
The property is very misrepresented. It is very tired, had broken furniture ( one chair we were informed about) dirty windows, port windows damp and cracking. Bath towels had a distinct smell of tobacco smoke.
In reality it is nothing like the photos online!
The owners absolutely need to invest in renovations as this property has the potential to be an exceptional stay.

The apartment was lovely, warm and snug. It was well equipped and well presented for our stay, with much of the apartment had been recently updated. But the winning feature has to be the views of the coast from the living area, it was amazing and absolutely made our stay. The parking is ample and easy to access. The gardens and surroundings of the apartment are really nice. 10 min walk to the town centre. We also really liked the port hole windows.
The Bed linen, towels and tea towels all smelt of old cigarettes or stale cigarette smoke. This was most apparent when drying yourself, plates, or lay in bed. This made the bedroom have a slight smell of old cigarettes, which didn't make it pleasant to sleep in. The mattress wasn't the best either, we could feel the springs.
The living room furniture could do with an update to sit and take in those amazing views, one rubberised two seater or a well used pull out are your only options.

The apartment was tidy and the view was excellent the host was attentive the area was beautiful and the position in Cornwall was perfect to visit local attractions and areas.
The only issue was the walk to the harbor on the way back it was very steep and would not appeal to the elderly but fortunately there was transportation available.

Lovely location, very friendly reception everything we wanted. Fully equipped kitchen to a high standard, ample parking.
Would of been better with a queen bed rather than a double.

Clost to St Ives harbour. On site parking
Lounge seating uncomfortable. Some windows didn't open and some blinds broken

The location was maybe around 150yds but on the cross but by walking was around 1/2 mile
Horrible noise at above flat, I can’t sleep as at early morning (4am-8am) someone was start walking around the bed (I guess) and the floor was very but very squeaking. Nightmares, not good for coming to take the rest.

The appartment was delightful, bright, lots of windows and a great view. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen plus a washer & dryer. Everything worked well and the host was very kind, helpful & available. The parking was adequate and the bathroom facilities were good as well. We would highly recommend staying there. We loved the city and got some good exercise walking up and down the hill to the town. This is definitely not a good fit for someone with mobility issues.
the shower tub needed a mat as it is very slick and dangerous.

Great location and had off Rd parking, loved the view etc quirky little apartment
There was no milk or tea etc when we arrived,so had to go go the shop. Just would of been a nice gesture if there was tea coffee to start with, hard if you tall walking around in apartment as sloping roof and kept banging head

It is a centrally-located flat that had everything I needed as a solo traveller.
Not much.

We were close to the shops and had a view over the coast. Our hostess was the best so friendly and helpful. It was good value for money and we had our own private flat.
The flat must have hosted a pet at some time . There were a few animal hairs. The children's beds could have been a little more comfy.
8.0 / 10.0
we liked the location and the views were great. the kitchen and bathroom was perfect to use.
the bed sheets were not clean and appeared to have a small amount of dried blood or something on. the sofa and mattress were not comfy but fine for the amount of time we stayed. it was really frustrating to find the property as the postcode was wrong which the owners said they new about which I feel could be avoided. we couldn’t get hold of anyone for around30-40 minutes which was stressful so I feel a quick update or e-mail to update postcodes and numbers would be an easy fix and make a big difference.

large spaces inside, clean, good parking at the property. warm.
there was no dishwasher when it said several times in the detail it had one.
the master bed was broken and my husband fixed it. we thought the fireplace in pictures would mean an open fire was possible- it wasn’t.
the cutlery, crockery etc were old and all chipped or slightly rusty

Had a delightful stay in this lovely little cottage and St Ives is such a wonderful get away from the city life, whether its for 1 day or 1 week. Lea checked us in and was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spotless and spacious, we had a very comfortable stay, and an excellent night's sleep. Looking forward to coming back again in the summer :)
