The one roof light at the property had not blind making it very difficult to sleep past sunrise. We also asked for balloons to be put in the room for 40th birthday. We offered to pay extra and the host did accept the request but it didn’t happen

Secluded private estate, very different to any other stay.

It was in a secluded area about 10 minutes from Penzance. Very quiet and peaceful. Dog friendly with no additional cost. There was a sizable field area for me to walk my dog so I didn't have to drive somewhere in the evening/early morning walk. Craig the host was on site and was welcoming and helpful. From my testing, the TV is not connected to regular UK terrestrial channels, but there are accounts for Amazon and Netflix that can be used to watch stuff. The room/single bedroom apartment itself was very nice. Very different from the usual single rooms that can be booked in the area. Fully fitted kitchen area so you can store food in the fridge and cook it in the oven or microwave provided. Dishes and cutlery and cleaning products also provided. There is a private outdoor area also provided which was very nice, making the apartment look bigger. I can imagine it being very nice to chill out in the summer.

I was unfortunate to hit a road closure on the day, so had to make some diversions. And the streets I had to divert to were narrow and big enough for one car. The country roads to get to the estate were quite narrow, so you will need to be comfortable with driving on narrow country roads. I could not get a strong cell phone signal in the area. I had to connect to the free WiFi provided to use my phone. The upstairs bedroom is very close to the roof, so it is very easy to bump your head.

Location

Could do with a thorough clean. Lots of dead spiders and cobwebs throughout the property- attention to detail just isn’t there. The body wash dispenser was empty, the WiFi didn’t work, there’s no blind for one of the windows and only one chair outside for two people. Our main confusion was that the hot tub is communal only. We were under the impression that each space had its own hot tub (our neighbours thought the same) but this is not the case. For obvious reasons we didn’t end up using it, even though this was one of the main reasons why we booked here. The bed is really quite small and there are no evening lamps or side lights for the bedroom, so it’s either bright lights or nothing at all.

A Gem of a self-catering room.

These self-catering rooms seems like they far away set in the country but actually only a few minutes from Penzance. The place is a brand-new build with modern appliances and so well designed. Very good beds and linen. The kitchen is very equipped to cook and enjoy. There is a barbeque and a hot tub to use. Absolutely super, one of the best self-catering I have stayed in.

We really liked the design of the scheme; the parking and the short drive to Penzance. The kitchen and bathroom are a generous size.

A modern and delightful venue in the West Cornwall Countryside.

Craig & Diane have a fantastic venue in the heart of West Cornwall. My wife and I travelled with our Labrador for an extended Bank Holiday Weekend and we could not have discovered a better property. Modern, Clean, Accessible and Amazing Will be back again for sure.

I only wish that we had booked to stay longer. We had a wonderful bank holiday. Thank you Craig, Diane and Sophie.

A fantastic, well-located getaway ideal for both families and groups of friends.

The property was perfect for both family and friends, offering the option to book one or multiple units out of the five available. The shared common area was a highlight, featuring a lovely space for barbecues and a hot tub. The host was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The location was also excellent—just a 10-minute drive from Penzance beach.

There wasn’t anything to dislike; everything met or exceeded expectations.

Perfect spot for a proper getaway!

The location, quite place far from noise but close of the city when something needed from the shops. Very good location if you want to visit Penzance, St Ives, Land's end Porthcurno beach etc. Very helpful host ( Craig), ready to help and addressed all our querries in no time. Great place to stay

I chose the place because it is located in the middle of my destination points: St Ives, Land's End, Minack Theatre, and St Michael. So, it is a calm place. I saw the host just once. The keys were in a lock box near the entrance. The host messaged me when it was ready and waited for me with a code. After that, I just left the keys in the same lock box and drove away.

There was a hot water issue. If this happens again, just text the host (via the Booking app), and they will check the boiler room. You will have hot water in 20-30 minutes.

Really quiet location but easy assess to lots of different places. Neat and tidy with plenty of room but limited storage space if you are staying for any length of time. We didn't, just the one night. We used the hot tube which is communal between the 5 lodges but we were the only ones.

We booked for 2 adults and a 14 Yr old. He had the sofa bed which was a little grubby and underneath when we made it out in to the bed. Also didn't have any bedding, we brought our own anyway and I'm sure the owner would have provided some if we had asked .

Very very expensive for what was offered !! A rip off in other words !!!

It was clean

Not a fully fitted kitchen. The bedroom was half a room as you couldn’t walk in the other half due to Jericho restrictions ( they need a dormer). The wardrobe is a portable rail !!! We had to live out of a suitcase ! The accommodation needs to be rebuilt as they won’t receive many repeat customers in the current circs unfortunately . The host is a friendly chap who acknowledged the problems to us.

Not the best experience for us

Modern Lodge

No phone connection if you have an emergency or if you need taxi can not phone anyone. No fan or air conditioning in the lodges. The roof window there is no blinder in one of them, at 5am you are already getting sun in your face. The post code and address direct you incorrectly. They only send us one lodge number and I booked two lodges. I didn't receive the code before the check in, I tried to contact them and call the phone number on the reservation and couldn't get to anyone.
