The cottage was picture perfect, with plenty of space for the two of us, a proper dining table, comfy sofa and a fully equipped kitchen, which was fantastic. THe lean-to on the kitchen with a drying rack and washer/drier was really useful. The bathroom was bright and well laid out, and the shower was great. The little front garden was perfect for the dog. The cottage is really close to shops, pubs and restaurants, it's in a great spot (although it's quite a steep walk back from the front).
The stairs are really steep and a bit slippery, a runner might be a good idea. Be careful when driving to the cottage, the lane is very narrow, and if you don't have a lot of stuff with you, maybe best just to walk with it (there is plenty of paid parking close by, but if you want free street parking you may need to drive round a little).

Cosy, beautifully decorated and furnished, great position, lots to do and see on the doorstep.
Parking was a bit of a faff, but cheap long stay car park was a 3 min walk away.

It was clean
Location up a narrow alley, hard to find and nowhere to park car.
Very narrow steep stairs to bedrooms so had to leave luggage in lounge. Unsuitable for anyone elderly or physically impaired.
Not a cottage at all. Just an old townhouse. No floor coverings anywhere just boards.
Toilet immediately off kitchen.
