An incredible hotel that really caters for all your needs and makes the most of the great environment it surrounds itsel

Wow what can I say , the location is just superb, I was welcomed by the team at Pichlmayrgut , given an upgraded room , nothing was too much trouble , the hotel is layer out really well , with a really spacious and wonderful wellness area with lots of spaces to relax and unwind , I was also surprised by the indoor pool being a good size for a good swim , I was blessed with the weather that gave the hotel its full potential with the wellness outdoor spaces , Also being given a summer card as part of staying at the hotel was a great surprise as it gives you free accustomed many attractions in the local area including use of buses and the cable cars for free , there are so many activities to take advantage of in the area , I was there only I full day so opted for some hiking , as did not want to use the car , there are many hike trails from the hotel , which the staff where happy to give advice on , I decided on a steep walk up to the cable car at Preunegg, taking the cable car up to Preunegg Jet , where I hiked the Reiteralm Summit loop , which was just out of this world especially as the weather was kind and clear skys , thanks to the team for the recommendation, The walk back down was a lot easier . The hotel also supplied a hikers rug-sac which was invaluable , they also supply towels , bathrobes and a beach bag to use in the wellness centre , they seem to think of everything . The food was awesome too both the breakfast and dinner , you are also given a specific table for you stay again a nice touch so you don’t have to keep hunting a table each time .

No air conditioning in the rooms( if you open the window because of the noise from the nearby highway, you die from the heat), no air conditioning in the restaurant,too. Outdated design, the hotel was probably last refreshed never.

Location, food and facilities were great, warm outside pool is the most relaxing thing you can do. The services were fantastic special thanks to Lena and Vladimir from the restaurant staff and Jonas from the front desk for the special care and helpul sujestions!

Everything was perfect, room, staff, SPA, food and drink.

We have problem only with TV. In every country is normal, that basically can be seen national channels, but everywhere they have English, French, Spanish or other foreign Channels as well. This was for the first time, when only one language was used (German). It was strange, because some of staff persons spoke only English and do not understand German.

overpriced hotel with good catering close to ski slopes

- location: close to several ski resorts, with great views - food: very rich and tasteful breakfast buffet and dinners - pools: outside pool and indoor swimming pool - shuttle service to ski resorts

- price/performance: hotel with the worst price-performance ratio we visited, totally not worthy 600 EUR/night we payed for the deluxe room (2 adults. 2 kids) with half-board - room: we had a room in Fasanerie building, that needs an urgent reconstruction. the room was clean, but worn-out a lot. our room had a connection to the room next to us and we could hear people from other room snoring in the night! - wellness area: 2 out of 4 saunas (dampfbad) out of order, most of the jets in the whirlpool were malfunctioned and were making weird nosies. wellness is closing at 8pm, so no way you can go there after the dinner.

Close to Reiteralm with free shuttle.

The hotel probably used to be luxurious back in days. Currently, it would need some renovation and modernisation. Overall, the hotel is still nice, but the value doesn't correspond with the price. There was lack of stuff, which was mostly noticeable by dinner and breakfast - longer waiting times for service or no service by breakfast at all. The wifi connection was very poor, I would expect this to be a basic service by four star hotel.

The Hotel have an incredible history, a fairy tale-like atmosphere. Very charming and welcoming owners, hosts, staff. The breakfast was absolutely incredible! Widest selection of breads, dairy, the best scrambled eggs, fruits, veggies , many types of lemonade and juices, nice coffee. The most amazing part of the food were the bakeries. The best cheesecake and patisserie we have ever eaten! Absolutely incredible! We would come back to the 5star desserts! Please write your recipe book. The staff is very nice, friendly, making sure everyone feels welcomed, cared of with greatest hospitality. The rooms are huge, the toilet was separate from the bathroom. The natural soap and conditioner was nice to the most sensitive skin. Wide range of wellness varieties.

The bathroom had a glass sliding door, that was hard to slide, so we left it open. The room was big, and the entrance was hidden from the bed, but still not the most optimal.

Ideal location for a skier close to Reiteralm, Schladming, Hauser-Kaibling and even Flachau.

Good breakfast and rich dinner. Decent wellness options, 3 dry and 1 wet saunas, outdoor warm pool, plenty of resting beds, tea and fruit refreshments available in wellness area Bathrobes, slippers and extra towels for use in wellness available in the room.

The wellness opening time until 8pm and colliding with dinner time too short for combining with whole day skiing. When the outdoor pool is closed at 6pm, also the whirlpool stops operating. The outdoor pool temperature could be little higher. The saunas temperature should be higher, e.g. the small finish outdoor one marked as 95̊ C was not even close to 85̊ C, not enough for a real sauna lower. Quite a challenge to navigate in the "underground" between depended buildings, garage, ski room and the restaurant in main building. The parking slots extremely narrow and difficult to park a larger car, the ceiling height not enough for an SUV with roof box installed. All these small negatives do not really significantly decrease the value, good facility anyway.
