Beautiful home away from home

Margaret and her daughter gave us a very warm welcome, lots of information on the area, along with places to eat/get delivery. They also left us a lovely welcome basket with some goodies. We were a group of friends and family with teens and younger kids. They had an area in one of the family rooms with lots of books, toys and games which the younger ones loved! Outside, there was a fab area with a fire and pizza oven, a covered area with a pool table, and a few other games. There was also a sound bar for us to connect to so we could listen to music. The house was very clean and tidy. The kitchen was well stocked with clean utensils, plates, glasses, etc.. everything you would need. Bedrooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were a short drive from the town and a beautiful park at Lake Mukno. Lots of feeding the ducks and playing in the play park and green areas. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we will definitely be back

It's hard to complain about anything if honest, but 2 things I would point out to future guests is that sound carries in the house very easily, and you need €1 coins for the pool table. We were left with 3 to start us off (which was appreciated) but didn't have any more on the first day, so make sure to come with some change.

Amazing house in a great location.

Place was spotless and well furnished. The beds were very comfy and kitchen was well stocked. The host was superb and even left us a little basket of treats. The facilities were exceptional and we really enjoyed the games room. Will 100% be back again.

Lovely family Christmas break

Lovely big house perfect for large family gathering over Christmas. The house was decorated beautifully by Margaret & team. Lots of space with the three living rooms and large kitchen.

Everything! The location, the views, the facilities, and the treats left by the amazing host. Appreciated all the little touches. Having the christmas decorations all over the house made our little getaway more special. Would love to come back during the summer to enjoy the bbq facilities and the games in the shed more.

Exceptional stay x

It was an exceptional stay for our annual extended family getaway. Margaret the host was just amazing and even left a surprise for my mum for her birthday! It was so nice and so thoughtful. The house was immaculate, there was so much room for everyone. Just everything about it was top class and we all loved it. So much so that we are planning on coming back again. Thanks so much Margaret for hosting the most wonderful memories for our family.

Our group of 12 adults and 3 children had an exceptional stay at the Lakeview Lodge Holiday Home. The spacious and immaculate accommodations provided ample room for everyone, making it a perfect retreat for our multi-generational family gathering. The picturesque lake view, coupled with the well-maintained grounds, created a serene atmosphere for both relaxation and outdoor activities. The host, Margaret, was warm, welcoming, and attentive to our every need, ensuring that our experience was nothing short of perfect. Lakeview Lodge exceeded all our expectations, providing the ideal setting for quality family time and lasting memories. We wholeheartedly recommend it for a memorable vacation experience!

The only minor drawback at Lakeview Lodge was the timely heating system, which took a bit longer than expected to warm up the space, but it was a small inconvenience in an otherwise delightful stay.

The holiday is ruined when we have a child fell off to the stone road and break his head

the house internal is fine but the outside floor is stone road and not friendly to kids.

we came at Aug and we have to open the windows. there is flies everywhere. we can’t leave any food on the table. the major issue is the outside floor are small stone road, one of our children fell off and break the head. And there is several cameras out side. Feel like no privacy

A really lovely house , perfect for a group of friends to getaway.

The house was beautiful and really modern. It had everything you would need and was like extremely clean! The highlight for us was the beautiful bbq and pizza oven patio area!

Amazing !

So spacious , clean and really enjoyable , 12 of us went and would definitely come back again! Good location as there isn’t houses close so didn’t have to worry about disturbing anyone and close to the town.

No light out the back where the benches are so had to keep the bathroom light on to see outside

We had a wonderful family break in the gorgeous Lakeview Lodge, 8 adults & 4 children & still plenty of space the house is absolutely stunning. Margaret & her daughter were so helpful & welcoming. Beautiful location also, highly recommend!

Great group get away in rural Monaghan

The property was perfect for a group of 9 of us with 9 beds and 3 bathrooms with showers as well as one downstairs toilet. The house has a full functioning kitchen and BBQ and it is only 10 minutes away from Castleblayney town and Lough Muckno. It is the perfect spot for a chill weekend getaway. The house was absolutely spotless and it couldn’t be faulted in any aspect. Margaret met us at the property and was easily contactable throughout the weekend. A great host!

What an amazing place to stay

The Lakeview Lodge was amazing, location was great and the views were breathtaking, this accommodation was spotless clean and had everything you needed for a fantastic holiday, the owner's were absolutely brilliant and done over and above to make our stay a fantastic one, we would definitely be booking this accommodation in the near future

Beautiful property

We had a great weekend at Lakeview Lodge! Margaret has done a brilliant job with the property - such a modern and clean finish. We had everything we needed in the house. LIDL was only a few minutes drive away and plenty of takeaway restaurants to choose from. Margaret was so accommodating and friendly and really made us feel at home. Will definitely be recommending Lakeview Lodge to family and friends!
