Safe bit of rest

I got upgraded to a double bed with my own ensuing Toiletries provided. Nice n clean Friendly laughing Owner

A table would have been good although I hadn't asked for one (for study). Theft of spoons by previous guests meant no spoons for eating or stirring. Bring yim's own.

Lovely, spacious and clean. 5min walk to the shopping centre. Met a lovely chap from the guesthouse, very pleasant. . My room was upgraded and was massive, very good value for money. I will definately be coming back. 10/10

The owners were very assertive, they phoned prior to check I was still coming, as I had booked 7 months prior. Hosts were very pleased to meet all my needs. They lent me a plug to charge my phone. As I had forgotten to pack one of mine. Free use of kitchen to cook meals if I wanted. Hosts couldnt do enough even their son asked if I needed anything, thank you

in my room was a boiler which keep going on and off all night i could sleep basically the have put a bed in the kitchen of this house . i will never go back it was an awfull night

When I arrived and was shown my room, the owner quickly disappeared. The bed sheets were dirty, and you could see they hadn't been washed or changed since the last person slept in there. I texted then owner if I could get a refund and I'll go somewhere else and he agreed. I have not heard from him since, he won't refund my payment and won't answer my texts. Would not recommend.

very close to where I needed to be, had my own bathroom, host was very responsive when contacted

Someone before my arrival smoked in the bathroom of my room (Room 2). The odour of cigarette was very stingy and unbearable everywhere in the room. I slept very badly because of this. Very disappointing!!!

I had a great stay, it was local to my needs - will definitely stay again in the future!

I loved the size of the room & how quiet it was. the bed was soft & comfy - the fact that the room i was in had a fridge, cooker & microwave was an additional bonus for me As i was a solo traveller, that was perfect for me

Was not what I was expecting for the cost. Very basic room, mismatched furniture bedding, blocked shower, no coffee or tea in room, you had to go to a shared kitchen which I didn't want to do so I just left it and didn't use that facility. TV wires hanging down, picture propped up on fridge not even put on wall - not great for £70

It wasn’t somewhere I would enjoy staying at.

I didn’t like much about the property.

It was very basic. There were no coffee making facilities in the room, no bedside table or lamp. It was a converted house. It was a bit primitive.

Frankly I expected a better property for the tariff charged. I did not take photographs.

The facility was picked because of its proximity to Robin Hood Cemetery where my parents and grandparents rest and we wished to pay homage to their memories for the last time owing to our age and living in Australia. It is not likely we will visit he UK again. Shops and a supermarket were within walking distance.

It isn't really a guest house, but a group of residences "knocked together". The room was cramped and as a result space limited - few places to store belongings and nowhere to sit at a table to eat. Food preparation facilities exist but they looked to never have been used since installation. Microwave and refrigerator present. Photographs would not be complementary.

Best place ever...I really enjoyed my stay...I felt at home...the owner of the place is a very nice man with a good heart...he make sure I was comfortable...I strongly recommend.

The rooms and the environment is very homely... definitely going to stay there again..

False advertising and untrustworthy host.

The cleaner was nice and she does a good job.

My room was nothing like described or pictured in the advertisement. It was a box room with a TV and cupboard. When I raised the issue of false advertising to the manager he pretended to be completely unaware. There were no other rooms available until my second night which he moved me to an apartment for free. I think to prevent me writing this review. The pillows stunk of weed. I spent a fortune on taxis in and out of the city centre and a bus was 45/50 mins in. On my first morning I awoke to an argument between the landlord and a long term tennant in the bag garden. Hands down the worst place I’ve ever stayed, the owner seems really untrustworthy and I stayed out of this place as much as possible during my stay!

The owners had overbooked and proceeded to tell me in detail how I was lucky to get a bigger room and how I was costing them money. Not my problem, you overbooked, your mistake and I am not going to be guilt tripped into paying you more because of it
