I've stayed at this property thrice now. It's small and peaceful. No one bothers you and the staff is very friendly and helpful. To those coming to Bali for the first time, look, Bali is a tropical island. The humidity and salty air tend to speed up wear and tear. I've stayed at some pretty fancy properties in Bali too and it is the same case for them with regards to wear and tear. Bugs and lizards are all too common whether you're staying in a 7 star property or at a cute mid to lower tier place. La Berceuse has a rustic, rough around the edges, island vibe. The stone and wood used on the property are designed to work and age with the elements and not against them. There is alot of nature and greenery around so bugs and lizards are common but it's nothing untoward or too difficult to handle. The reception staff even provides you with mosquito repellent spray on request and they are very nice about it. The property isn't located on the main road but getting grab cars is not difficult at all. If you need anything, even late at night, grab deliveries is super efficient. Their breakfast menu is ala carte. I prefer this because this prevents wastage and the portion sizes are quite generous. This property is super worth the money, especially the villas. The private pool is clean, pretty and quite big and the room and bathroom are clean and spacious. Even the Spa facility is very good and their therapists are experienced. There are also plenty of spas in the area you can go explore too if you like. The hotel provides a free shuttle service at designated times to the tourist hotspots in the area too. All in all, clean, cozy, quiet, and definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend.

If you are looking for a quiet getaway in Bali, this is the right place to stay. The Staff was extremely friendly and always helpful. The Food was great with a good selection. Overall very good value, only thing we were missing was a playroom for our 1 year old but if you have older kids that can swim I’d recommend this place highly.

I recently stayed for one night at La Berceuse Resort and Villa Nusa Dua, and unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet expectations. The location is a bit tucked away from the main road, which makes it harder to access and gives the place a sense of being somewhat isolated. The room itself was quite disappointing. The furniture, primarily wood, seemed very old and had been repainted several times, but the overall feel was not fresh or modern. The bathroom was another letdown—there were visible build-ups of green algae or mineral deposits around the shower, basin, and bidet tap, which made it look like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. The shower area doesn’t drain properly either, and after a night, it had a musty smell. The glass door that’s meant to prevent water from spilling onto the floor doesn’t work well, and the floor becomes slippery, making it a safety concern. On a positive note, the bed was fine—comfortable enough for a night’s rest. However, the breakfast was a letdown. It was served à la carte, but only once. You can’t get a refill, and any additional orders come at an extra charge. On top of that, food left on the table attracts ants both in the restaurant and in the room. For the price—less than SGD 100 a night—it’s hard to recommend this as a “villa” experience. If you're looking for something a bit more polished or reliable, you’re better off choosing a nearby hotel instead. If you’re okay with the flaws I mentioned and just want a place to crash for the night, then it could work for you, but I’d personally look elsewhere for better value.
