Air conditioning could use a little boost of Freon

Great location, close to Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace and to many restaurants. Right next to Mercado de San Miguel, a fantastic foodcourt that gives you an introduction to Spanish food like Tapas, seafood, jamon, churros and local drinks at reasonable prices. The apartment is located in a lovely square so it's quite peaceful in a busy area, except for the garbage truck in the morning. Staff is friendly, helpful and spoke good English. I am especially grateful to Carolina who went out of her way to help me resolved a problem with her Spanish and excellent English.

The lift was small and a bit tempermental

Both receptionists were always extremely helpful with anything we needed. Location right next to Mercado de San Miguel, means you are metres away from fresh, local variety of food.

Cleaning, the room was dusty and we also found a slipper under our bed.

We stayed in the room called “Romeo and Juliet.” The hand soap was empty, and the lid of the trash bin was broken. There was no door for the bedroom, and the bathroom door was very noisy when opening and closing. The sofa bed was also making creaking noises. We felt that the room was not very suitable for staying with a baby.
