Heima Penthouse Old Town

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment is centrally located and walkable to all of the main historic sites, markets, plazas, parks and restaurants, and the train station and airport were a short drive. We were in the heart of Madrid, walked everywhere and never even needed a cab. It is central to everything, and you could pick a different direction to walk and find something to see, visit, shop or eat! We felt very safe in the building and in the apartment. It was mainly quiet day and night, as you are on the 4th floor, yet you could here sirens going by. The apartment seems to be newly remodeled, with all new appliances and was perfectly clean. It was the most efficient use of a small space we've seen! It was tight living quarters for 4 adults and 3 pieces of luggage for each couple, but we made it work. The beds were very comfortable and the large closets were helpful to store our luggage, clothing and toiletries. In the closets were 2 fans which helped with airflow at night for comfortable sleeping. We appreciated having 2 bathrooms, but beware, the showers are very narrow, without being able to bend down, and a large person would not fit. The balcony was incredible! It was spacious and the views were great, as you could even see into the arch of Plaza Mayor. The apartment has a modem decor and had everything we needed with a small fridge, cooktop stove as well as kitchenware. We definitely recommend this stay and would return in the future!

Excellent stay in the heart of the city right off of Plaza Mayor and across from Mercado de San Miguel. The apartment is tight, but the location more than makes up for it. The balcony looks right down on Calle Mayor and over into one of the entrances of Plaza Mayor. We were there over Easter and were able to see all of the processions coming out of the plaza and down the street. As mentioned, it can be a tight squeeze in the apartment, the showers in particular are tiny, but it all worked great, the host was responsive, and we very much enjoyed it.

Position of this apartment was amazing, The apartment was very well equipped & clean. We were able to drop our bags off before 3pm which was helpfu. One bathroom was tiny & both showers far too small. The photos make apartment look much bigger. The balcony was nice but needs attention as looked scruffy with chipped paint. Overall a good stay and I would return if visiting again.

The property is in a great location. Very small bathrooms and bedrooms — especially the shower. The doorway to the master bathroom is very short and because of that we could not use that bathroom . Kitchen was well equipped - it even had olive oil spray, salt and pepper. There is a Carefore Express almost next door. Reasonable quiet at night. Nice terrace for eating.
