We absolutely loved Casa Ferri! It’s such a cool place with lots of history and in a great location. It’s close to a parking garage and we payed €20 for 24h to park. Takes about 7 minutes to walk from the parking to hotel, so manageable with large suitcases. The owner Michele was a gem, he gave us so much information about Matera and he is so passionate about the history of the place. We truly enjoyed it! Highly recommend this place when visiting Matera.

What a magical place to stay. Our host was so helpful with parking as well as giving us a great insight to the history of the area. We used 3 of the 4 beautiful rooms available, set back through a small enclosed courtyard. Would highly recommend this stay.

The welcome was charming, funny and very informative. What’s not to love about staying in a cave! It was very nicely decorated and a lovely E’s ape from the heat outside .
The water on the shower didn’t drain fast enough so it could have been v easy to flood the bathroom but very easily resolved I’m sure .
