La Casa di Ele

The location was excellent. Matera is very small and everywhere can be reached on foot. This property is well placed for that. Nice, characterful room. Bathroom a bit small but these buildings are so unique you can forgive these small inconveniences. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was simple but generous.

La Casa di Ele was absolutely beautiful Rafaele was a pleasure to deal with exceptionally responsive and could not do enough for us We absolutely loved our stay in Matera La Casa di Ele was perfectly located to everything our parking was at a secure car park just around the corner maybe a 100 mtr walk very convenient The room was stunning and that view oh my goodness so blessed Our breakfast the next morning was fit for a king or in my case Queen Rafaele’s mum’s Lemon cake delicious ❤️🇮🇹💫

Nothing everything was perfect

A family home becomes a welcoming B and B. Breakfast was amazing and fresh. Room was very big and equipped with computer plug ins. Bathroom was remodeled with lots of room for toiletries. Hosts went above and beyond with helpful information about what to see and do. Would definitely stay here again. Even though the place was in the heart of the Sassi, it was very quiet.

Location was amazing. Right in the center and a short walk from the parking garage. Owners were extremely kind and accommodating. Spacious.

Not a good fit for a larger group. We were a family of 7 people that needed 3 rooms. One of the rooms was within the main building but up some stairs. The other room was in a different building a short distance away, down more steps, but the third apartment required us to walk down quite a few steps that were slippery and with heavy luggage, quite dangerous. The owner initially told us that we needed to carry our own luggage to our rooms, which I refuse to do because even without the luggage, I slipped a few times so she ended up calling her son who brought our bags to us. The rooms themselves were pretty dated, with mis-matched furnishings although our apartment was very large. Breakfast was pretty basic.
