A jewel of a hotel and lovely staff.

My first Question on my trip was ‘Is there a place to safely store my bycycle’ and here we had a firm yes. The lady who met me at the end of a rainy day was very welcoming and kindly allowed me to park up in the reception room. I couldn’t have wished for a more generous welcome. We muddled through my lack of German via Google translate. A nice room with all the facilities one would expect and a great view over rooftops to the town and valley beyond.. Breakfast? Well I can only describe this as sumptuous. A feast that set me up for a day's cycle ride. A generous welcome. A charming hotel. I was made to feel at home. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

This was an adorable hotel right in the center of Bacharach.Lovely welcoming woman at the desk who was very helpful. Clean comfortable room. Delicious breakfast. No on site parking but public parking close by for small charge daily.

Not a problem for us but our room quite a few flights of stairs up.

Adequate facility at a great value in a disappointing town

I liked the value, and the old school nostalgia of the building. The room was exceptionally large by German standards, and the water pressure in the shower the highest this trip.

I was very disappointed in the town. I was shocked by the disrepair and lack of business downtown. After visiting Rudesheim last March, and taking the ferry this trip to Kaub, I am definitely seeing a trend in river towns, much like in the US. Very transitory culture and far lower standards on maintenance. As for the facility, it should have been attended, as we had unruly guests partying well past midnight and waking this otherwise sound sleeper. I was also accosted by the Apoteke clerk when I returned to but something for change for the parking meter. He was sure to tell me that I should have not parked in front of the Hotel to unload. Although many did, I guess he has an axe to grind. Not in the "save our town" mindset at all.

Clean, comfortable, with superb staff!

The hotel is centrally located & the staff is outstanding! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with newer towers! The beds are very comfortable, and the shower water pressure is phenomenal!

Wonderful base for exploring beautiful Bacharach, highly recommended!

Everything was great, lovely hosts were so welcoming & helpful, using google translate to communicate as we don’t speak German. Our host even carried our heavy suitcases upstairs 2 flights to our spacious room with a view. Due to our train departure next morning, they even prepared breakfast early for us, a lovely spread indeed! Wish we could have stayed longer, Bacharach is so beautiful & people very friendly.

Great Location, Great ambience in the Medieval Town

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location was perfect. It's at the centre of the town. We had a big room at the 3rd floor with veranda overlooking the parts of the churches, parts of the mountain and the high street. The room was clean, with large comfortable bed and great ambience. Hotelier Maria was very nice, respectful and accommodating.

Everything was great in this hotel. Just a little suggestion that the hotel to provide a little coffee/tea corner in the room with kettle, cups and spoon and spare pillow for each guest.

Overall, the stay was comfortable. The location was near to the train station and cruise station. Highly recommend.

It was ok but we were not treated as guests in a hotel.

I liked the location. Close to bakery, gelato store, good restaurants. The room and bathroom were very clean and airy. . We had a secure place to keep our bikes.

There was very rarely any staff around. There wasn’t a lift and we had to go to the 5th floor carrying up our suitcases. I went to have a shower our first day and there was about a tablespoon of body wash left. Couldn’t find anyone to get a replacement. Luckily we travel with small amounts of our own product. There were two beside tables and lamps. My lamp didn’t have a light. So my suitcase was in shadows all the time. Towels were never changed nor the bathroom cleaned during our two days and two nights stay.

Great location and wonderful BIG room

Breakfast choices were more limited than other hotels I'd stayed. Breads were not fresh from the baker, a few doors away. There was no shelf in the shower for shampoo and soap.

A clean and spacious room with a delightful hotelier in a wonderful old town on the Rhine.

The location was central to everything and the breakfast was very nice. Although there was no hot food, there was meat cheese and boiled eggs to accompany cereal and fresh bread and buns. And the coffee was the best in town!

The only thing that we didn't like was the stairwell to the rooms. The treads were narrower one side which was a bit hazardous.

A really good value hotel Bacharach that is well worth staying at when touring the Rhine!

The hotel is in an excellent position near to the main centre. The hostess was one of the best we have ever encountered. Helpful, attentive and always pleasant - and spoke good English too. The rooms were plain, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had a top floor room with a balcony - OK it was a bit of a climb to the room with no lift and that might be difficult for some - but we knew that at the time of booking (it is a classic, traditional German hotel) but well worth the effort. It is nice to sit outside late in the evening. The breakfasts were good - and plenty of it for those who wanted it - the hostess (Ute) always checking to see all guests had enough. We would have preferred a bit more variety, perhaps with some hot choices (bacon, scrambled egg, sausages?). It wasn't a major issue. I must add that I thought the whole stay was really good value for money!

Apart from the suggestions above - nothing. It is a really good, small hotel and would readily recommend to people visiting the lovely town of Bacharach

Very nice stay

Friendly and helpful staff. I think the lady is the owner or manager. The location is excellent. Walking distance to the train station, steps from the town center. The included breakfast was really good. Variety of good quality food and nice dining room setting. Very happy with the stay.

The hotel doesn't have an elevator. Just FYI in case that is important to you.

Friendly lady hostess. Great old-timey German atmosphere at an excellent location. Breakfast was simple but had all the things we wanted and the quality of food was on par or better than that of chain hotels.

The stairs were a surprise. Neighbors could be heard talking clearly, although they went to bed early.

Die Lage war spitze. Mitten im Zentrum von Bacharach. Wir war in Zimmer 25 im 2. Stock. Als Hinweis, kein Fahrstuhl verfügbar. Super freundliches Personal. Bis das Schiff um 12 Uhr ablegt, konnten wir das Gepäck dort lassen.

- Getauschte Nachtischlampe (Akku) defekt - Kein Föhn vorhanden - Obwohl das sehr günstige Frühstück für (12,50€) echt ausreichend und gut war, wollte man 2€ für einen Kaffee extra haben (Sparschwein).

Ein schöner Zwischenaufenthalt auf unserer Fahrradtour den Rhein entlang

Das Frühstück war super gut. Es hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir hatten das Zimmer ganz oben, es war sehr groß und gemütlich. Und absolut ruhig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Fahrräder konnten wir sicher im Haus abstellen.

Es hat uns alles gefallen.
