A very disappointing experience overall.
The hotel is located very close to the railway tracks, which made it difficult to sleep at night due to the noise. The room also had a musky smell.
Additionally, the staff were unhelpful and difficult to deal with when there was an issue with the booking, showing little responsiveness or respect for their guests.

Great location and comfortable stay
Great location and the room was nice with a balcony. Had all the basic amenities. Enjoyed breakfast very much with a variety of food, coffee and tea options. The courtyard was peaceful. The location was in the center of the small town with easy access to key attractions.
If you’re located on upper floors be sure you’re comfortable with stairs and carrying luggage. I wish we had access to tea and coffee throughout the day or in our room. There was no iron or ironing board, but maybe available upon request.

The pool room was underwhelming and not very nice to be in, with a cold pool. Our room was comfortable but dated and the balconies are very close together, so smoking from other guests came in to our room easily.

A perfect place to stay on our bike trip along the Rhine
The location in the centre of town was perfect. The room was a good size with a well functioning bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Bike storage was secure and easy to access. Bacarach is a beautiful town, well worth a visit.

Well run, super clean & great breakfast
Location IS fabulous. Of course there's pretty much just the two or three streets, but this is central and CLOSE to everything you'd want - restaurants, shops, church, Gothic ruin, the river, ferry, etc. Parking was easier than I anticipated & the hotel gives you a plaque to put on your dash so you can park for free, and it was fairly easy to find a close place - within 2 minutes walk.
Breakfast is really good, and they actually have croissants under a warmer, so they stay lightly crunchy on top, soft and warm in the middle. Brilliant. Why don't ALL hotels do this? A real treat with some Nutella set out in a large jar. Many cheese & meat choices, bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee machine with all the choices, fresh juices & a fabulous "smoothie"... you will be spoiled for choice there's so much more, and something for all tastes. (I do wish there were more napkins out. We always had to ask).
We were also given a kettle & cups to use in the room for tea, which was great. Staff was hard working and generally friendly, I often saw (short haired blonde lady - owner?) cheerfully interacting with patrons, and the dark haired lady at breakfast was super sweet.
Room was very quiet at night with room darkening & sound blocking blinds. Amazing because trains go by loudly and with the windows open during the day, their lightning fast approach can make you jump! (You get used to it fast, and I actually grew to sort of like it). It also helped the room stay cool, along with the fan provided.
Room (#24) was super clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and had a great view onto the tower another beautiful hotel, the city wall and the Rhine beyond (see photo). We often left both windows wide open to take in the view and breeze. We hardly used the TV, which was large and swivels to make watching comfortable from bed.
Bed was comfortable & 2 different pillow choices were nice. Good amount of outlets (near bed especially.
Sink in restroom was TINY.
Even brushing teeth was a challenge.
The safe in our room malfunctioned & we had to wait for breakfast to be able to access it with the owner's help. Thank goodness we didn't need our passport or other valuables sooner!!
When we checked in, I was able to park on the side street in a small 4 car lot that was specifically labeled AS PARKING FOR this hotel. I realized that unloading at the "door" was explained in the hotel's description, but DID see the & use the hotel lot steps from the door (I pulled in and blocked in a BMW that appeared as if it belonged there) when I arrived. When I asked if I could park there (before I realized how close I would be able to park just outside the wall) if another guest was to vacate their spot, we were told (not verbatim, but this is close) "I like to keep those spots for disabled people, and you don't look handicapped to me." It was embarrassing. Of COURSE that is a great idea. I totally understand and agree. It just could have been put across more sympathetically.

Loved the size of the room, and especially enjoyed the sitting nook overlooking the Markt Tower and river. The shower was great, with excellent pressure. And we enjoyed the indoor pool after many days of travel. Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. Unloading luggage near the hotel and then parking across the street was easy. The breakfast was excellent! Perfect location, right near the middle of town.
Monday morning garbage pick up seemed to take forever and was very very loud!
The room was very clean and cozy, not cramped. We had a balcony room facing the rear of the hotel, the part not accessible by the elevator. The room got top marks for being cool, dark and quiet! Perfect sleeping conditions in my opinion. Our bed was comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure and sufficient hot water. The breakfast buffet was excellent, a large variety of delicious foods! The location was excellent. Close to the waterfront, and near many restaurants. I felt safe while there. The staff were friendly and nice. They allowed us to use the garage to store our bags after we checked out while we waited for our boat. We have travelled through Germany twice, and both times we stayed in Bacharach. If we travel through Germany again, we will stay in Bacharach again. It is such a charming small town. And we will stay at this property next time.

Perfect stay in historic Bacharach
The Bacharacher Hof was the perfect place for us to stay on our first Rhine Valley trip. Our check-in was super easy, and we felt very welcome. Easy access by car right off the main road, and parking spot was provided during our stay, which is great as you do not need a car while in Bacharach. The hostess was super nice, friendly and helpful making recommendations for the best wineries and giving advice on ferries when we checked out. The buffet-style breakfast was perfect- highly recommended if you are staying in the Hof. Great variety of choices and really premium quality. Both of the double rooms we and our friends had were comfortable and we slept really great! Hope to return and also try the swimming pool and the sauna, which is open 24-hours!

I loved staying here, the hosts were a really nice family and they were super caring and sweet. We had a brand new room and a few things weren't fully working yet but they fixed it right away which I really appreciated. The room was also very nice, comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. They even have a swimming pool with a sauna which I was very happy with :) also a big breakfast, lots of choices to eat/drink!
The only thing I didn't realize was how close you are to the railway. Our room was on the train side so you could hear every train passing by. I'm a light sleeper so that kept me awake sometimes but if you bring some earplugs you'll be fine!
