Very comfortable and pleasant hotel . Excellent position to LeMans Equestrian Centre

Lovely room, well kitted, bed extremely comfortable. Walls thick so no noises from surrounding rooms. Bit if a walk to the restaurant which would have been miserable in the rain for breakfast but it was good food. Didn't eat there in the evening but I was told by others it was excellent.

The walk to the restaurant and shame there isn't a pool / sauna.

Fabulous Hotel with Exquisite Restaurant

Fabulous hotel. Comfortable room with large radiator that worked and a large heated towel radiator in the bathroom. The bathroom looked as though it had recently been renovated. Beautiful although there wasn’t enough places to put our toiletries. An extra shelf would help. The restaurant is expensive but exquisite. Worth it now and again. Staff wonderful.

Beautiful grounds. The trees, and the planting of shrubs bushes and hedges was superb. Restaurant very good, for both dinner and breakfast.

The hotel, grounds, staff and food were excellent

Whilst the gourmet menu was truly excellent, as were the first three glasses of wine that accompanied the meal, the dessert would have benefited from a sweet wine.

I was looking for safe parking for a bonkers car, as I have been all this trip. The hotel is out of town and off the beaten track so parking was reasonably safe. The staff were very good in a beautiful setting. Loved watching the robot lawn mower work its way around the front garden

Before booking, I knew that it was expensive for the add on’s, such as breakfast and dinner and that proved to be the case. Found just as nice places and in some cases better at more value through this trip. Small point, however, the room fridge is linked to the room key electricity supply, however, I do believe it should be on all the time and already cold for residents immediate use. Proved not to be the case as it didn’t get cold over night.

What stay? We (and others) were turned away at the gate

In summary they took our money, communicated with us about parking and restaurant reservation, but on arrival said no such booking. Luckily we booked through booking.com so had recourse. No room, no apology and not even any recognition of the issue. After leaving we saw others having the same experience. Awful customer service.

Left us search the whole property for our room with two crying children at 3 am

I liked the flexible check in and out. Spacious family room.

1- the receptionist did not even smile or have any facial expressions. Then gave us a room key upon arrival at 3:30 with two kids under 5 years old. She gives us the key to room 22 and points at the lifts, we go up and after driving for 7 hours with little tired kids. We look for the room on all 3 floors and can’t find it, so we go down to her and she doesn’t say a word just clicks on the lift button and presses on level 2, we go back up again and look for another 5 minutes we thought we were being crazy or pranked. Eventually my husband goes down to her and she tells him the room is actually not in the main hotel building but outside in another section and just opens the door for us and again not one word, doesn’t come to show us where it is after we asked her 3 times, we again circle the place because she said it’s level one. Then up and down until we find it. Honestly the kids were crying as they needed the toilet and she couldn’t care less. I also did not realise when I booked that the room looks completely different than the photos because it’s not part of the main hotel so if you’re a family adjust your expectations for the price of 200+ euros a night….

original room only had a bath and no shower so we asked to change - the only other room they said we could have was in an annexe - away from the building - no air conditioning - shower floor tiling was grubby. building generally very tired and needed improving.

location is stunning, staff were very friendly & attentive. Comfortable hotel, excellent breakfast with fast & easy check in/out.

you have to order your eggs from the waitress when the cook is standing right there, seems unnecessary.
