Escape to the country!
My 4 year old absolutely loved it. Waking up with views over the hills, pheasants perched on the wall 2 metres from the window and a field mouse having a morning wash in the wall below. It’s a quaint converted barn on the side of a farm yard with old rafters and a cast iron spiral stair case. Old latches and bespoke doors take you back to a time when everything was hand made and rustic. 9 mins into Kirkby Lonsdale and the delightful Booths meant you are never far away from supplies or a fresh coffee.

Nature from every window
You cannot beat the views from this barn, surrounded by the delights of Cumbria from the comfort of each window. I don't think the pictures do it justice. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful setting, being woken by a donkey I will happily enjoy again and again.
Steep stairs and toilet on ground floor, not something they can change easily. Need for a few bags for recycling rather than long winded notes about boxes not in property, but outside. A hairdryer would be good and an egg cup.

Amazing place
We absolutely loved our stay here. The beds were so comfortable and the bedding was fluffy and nice. The accommodation had pretty much everything you need. It felt bright, airy and so clean. The scenery around is lovely and it's in a great location.
The only thing that I would say for future bookers is, the stairs are obviously spiralled which is on the advert but the gap between the banisters is especially large. My daughter is 3 and would have easily fitted through the gaps at the top. Obviously she was watched like a hawk but children can be quick and my daughter is clumsy.

Lovely barn conversion
Stayed in a lovely barn conversion with nice beamed ceilings. Heating was by electric wall heaters so not centrally heated. Water pressure good and very hot water so be careful. Plenty of crockery and cooking stuff, pans and casserole dishes. Kitchen and toilet/shower on ground floor and bedrooms and living room upstairs. Xmas tree and decorations were nice and unexpected. The owners are friendly and helpful and understanding when I thought I'd booked 6 nights but had booked 5 in error (oops!).
The spiral staircase we found challenging so I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have mobility issues. It would have been better if the shower/toilet were upstairs with the bedrooms and living room.

3 heavenly days in spite of the weather!
Really clean. Comfortable beds and seating, good cooking, meal prep arrangements. Stunning views. Very quiet roads.
A bit draughty from the windows in the high winds we had. A door between 1 bedroom and the rest of the build would have allowed the child sleeping there to nod off more easily.
