We loved our one night stay. It was so quiet despite other guests in the ryokan and the onsen was such a treat. The staff was lovely and helpful. We are very happy we got to experience Motoyu Ishiya.

I loved the attentiveness of the staff. The hotel itself was mind blowing. It was so full of artifacts that showed the history of the hotel (140 years old!). But the real kicker were the facilities. the onsen was the most calming experience of my whole trip. The room was actually a series of rooms, facing a charming garden. and the meals were the most special of our trip. please don't think twice, just book it

It is a traditional place with a history. The food was delicious. Staff was a really nice. The onsen was nice
It is a bit out of the way if you don’t have a car.. but they do have a shuttle from the closest train station
