Hikoso-machi Gin no Ma

Love the authentic feel mixed with the modern conveniences.

Located about a 15 minute walk from the train station, we made the journey on foot. We stayed in early December, which as expected was very wet and cold. The house itself is very old (the staff couldn’t say exactly how old), but we were warned that heating may be an issue. There was no central heating, so we had to use small floor heaters and the provided underfloor heating. This was effective, but the house may have benefitted from some other heating options particularly in winter. The size of the house would be perfect for larger families, as it has several rooms to choose from and a spacious kitchen. We splurged and booked the additional Green Tea Ceremony Experience, which ended up being a highlight of the trip - would highly recommend!

nothing really. could use clearer directly for the appliances especially the washer/dryer.
