A great introduction to Stellenbosch.

The location was a very easy walk into Stellenbosch. The owners were really friendly. Nice extras such as the shared kitchen. Having a pool on site was nice. Breakfasts were absolutely superb. Every attention to detail, a great selection and fantastic quality products. The best ever!

As a single traveller on my own it felt very safe and was within walking distance of the centre of Stellenbosch for all the restaurants and shops. It was a great location for experiencing the surrounding area and in particular the vineyards and nature. The breakfast was superb and the pancakes and homemade jam were delicious :)

The staff is welcoming. I felt as if I was visiting family relatives. Cosy and great breakfast. Lovely staff members. The fireplace makes it especially cosy when you’re there during the winter time.

I was there during a cold period in winter. The buildings (that I heard also from my friends there) in Stellenbosch are not adept to such cold therefore, the isolation and heating system are not as strong as we know in other countries. The AC could only be used for a short time so that the energy could be used by other guests too etc. So for me the only concern, and it was a concern, was how can I make myself feel warmer while I’m trying to sleep. If you’re visiting to Stellenbosch in the winter bring very thick clothes! As the guesthouses etc are not equipped to provide that warm temperature. Again, it’s not this place’s fault, it’s all over perhaps in all country as my friend in Cape Town was staying in Marriot and still froze every night. For winter, bring very very warm clothes for the night if you’re travelling to South Africa.

What a fabulous place! Everything was excellent: the room, location, facilities, breakfast and staff. Especially the staff. Everyone was friendly, kind and incredibly thoughtful, whether it was ensuring I didn't get drenched on the way back to my room from breakfast or making sure I was warm enough in my room. I can't fault a thing and would happily stay here again if ever I'm in Stellenbosch.

Will not return

I was hospitalized for food poisoning after eating the breakfast. Upon sharing this information with the proprietor, her response was to become defensive. I was not accusatory, and explained that I was sharing information for her benefit. The next day, realizing that her response to me was inappropriate, she repeatedly forced herself upon me to apologize. The character of the apology, however, was clearly intended to bully me into not leaving a negative review.

As I have a health condition, after learning that I was vomiting my wife called the property to ask them to check on my welfare. She spoke to the owner, who asked her "send an email." This was inappropriate. The female owner later claimed that he is hard of hearing. If that is the case, why is he even allowed to answer the telephone? The whole experience was very distressing. I found their bullying and defensiveness to be inappropriate and I will never stay there again. The wifi was slow to the point that it was unusable. I had to turn of wifi on my devices and use my phone.

Pretty and comfortable place, delightful hosts and delicious breakfast.

Breakfast was delicious, varied and beautifully presented. Staff were delightful, setting and the pool were gorgeous and our hosts were chatty , interesting, amusing and friendly. The room was lovely - airy and nicely furnished. It has a small kitchen as part of the suite which was absolutely fantastic, a wonderful bonus as a separate living space and very useful asset. If we'd been staying longer, we would have used it to prepare and cook an evening meal. It was very well equipped and immaculate.

Nothing our lovely hosts could have done about it, but we are both relatively light sleepers and the traffic noise from the main road was quite intrusive at times, continuing late into the night and starting early in the morning. We're older guests so I think rather more tolerant than the young. If I had a criticism, and it's a very gentle one, I would say our room needs updating to fit in with modern demands. Everything works and it's immaculately clean, but it's a bit tired in the decor and the bathroom could do with a refurb at some point.

I really don't have any complaints as everything we needed was provided at this accommodation. it was a bit noisy one night because of an event nearby but the owners could not control that and it is not their fault.

A really great accommodation! Already upon arrival I had the feeling of being very warmly welcomed by the two hosts. The room had everything you need in terms of equipment. For the network-conditional powerless hours were even battery lamps available. The garden is a true green oasis with a beautiful pool and sunbathing areas. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast. There is really nothing missing here! In addition to a wiklich great English breaktfast there was fruit, pancakes, cereal and jam. Great stay to discover Stellenbosch

It's a nice spacious apartment with a nice bathroom. Bed is good and in kitchen you have a fridge with various drinks. Breakfast is really good, you can basically have what you want. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. You can park your car on the property. Wi-Fi is ok for internet but streaming (formula 1) was not great but did work. City center on walking distance. Jonkershoek great park for a nice hike.
