The view of Ella rock is amazing. The staff were really helpful and attentive.

There is some road noise but it was not a problem.

The owners were great and the view superb massive rooms just bang on

The reception was a little strange and off putting at the bottom of the hill. My sister got yelled at by the old lady who is possibly the owner (?) for not immediately signing the book. I wanted to check out the rooms first as it didn’t look too promising from the reception! However the rooms have an amazing view with a big veranda. I think we were upgraded - we had a huge room with two big beds that were comfortable. Not quite my taste in decor tbh but there was a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and it was clean. The lad who works there - Hasiya, was exceptional! Really kind, helpful and friendly - just a great aura. Breakfast was excellent and enjoyed on the veranda with that view - just great! I was glad to be slightly out of town as think the center of Ella is fun but very noisy. They were also organized in their communication and we were glad of their recommendation and assistance in booking Cafe Chill for dinner, especially when we saw the queue to get in. All in all decent value.

The rather unappealing reception area at the bottom of the stairs. The grubby mats in the c room and bathroom. But that seems to be a feature of almost every place we have stayed in SL - even the most upmarket places.

The standout was the view, spectacular and the location was great, 8mins walk to town center.

No aircon in our room, monkeys were a threat when taking food out on balcony. TV didn’t work.
