Ravana Heights

The location was excellent. Walking distance to the town centre and night life but far enough to be quiet. Staff were very hospitable and keep the premises clean.

We felt it was way overpriced for what you get. But that might reflect that Ella is generally more expensive than other towns in Sri Lanka.

Hotel is in a good location, a short walk (or tuk tuk ride) from the main strip in Ella, it’s therefore close enough to the action but also quiet. The room was modern and clean. We had a front facing room with a balcony which had lovely views of the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to leave early one morning for one of our activities and they made us the tastiest scrambled egg sandwiches we had the entire trip plus fruit which we particularly appreciated given we had a toddler to feed.

Not dislikes as such but we hadn’t realised this was a B&B and so there wasn’t really an option to eat dinner here (although the owner did kindly invite us to dinner but it was too early for us and didn’t fit our plans) this was only a mild inconvenience because we have two small children so eating onsite would have been helpful after a day out. I received a strange message from the owner a couple of days before arrival about issues with drivers/driver accommodation which made me feel alittle uncomfortable and so would encourage Hotel Ravanna to keep any disputes it’s having locally private.

Lovely view and helpful friendly staff. Also made a lovely Thai meal for us. Easy walk into town.

Steep steps to get there with luggage. Expensive compared to other places we stayed
