A quirky hostel with a good location near the centre

The breakfast was satisfactory, croissant, bread and spreads, and cereals - the fruit juice was poor, but the coffee was good The building itself was unusual and interesting, and the location was within easy walking distance of the centre, the parking was convenient

They had a large private function on the night we stayed, which unfortunately meant we could not use the dining room, and it was rather loud, we were not informed about this prior to our stay

Unique! Incredible value!

An absolutely unique experience staying at this place: a big square room with a high ceiling, huge corridors, an amazing view to the church and a courtyard. The bed was comfortable, shared bathrooms and toilets always unoccupied. Nice and helpful, local, English-speaking staff. Incredible value.

Not a big deal and part of the experience, but many guests don’t seem to understand that when they talk in the corridor with the very high ceilings the whole floor hears this noise because of the echo. Maybe staff should inform people about it upon check-in and in a suggestive way ask guests to talk in the room or in the courtyard. Wi-Fi worked not great, as it depended on the number of users. A shower-room needs a broom, so the guests can take care of excess water on the floor to keep it clean.

Exceptional

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My car had broken down just outside of town, and the staff helped me contact the garage and get back on track. Special thank you to Filip. The Hostel is located a wonderful monestry - it's very central and close to many great bars. Staying in Reggio Emilia and the Hostel (although unplanned) turned out to be the highlight of my trip. I will be returning when I next visit Italy.

Atmospheric and nostalgic.

It was a very interesting old Abbey converted into hostel. I liked the nostalgic mood and the hourly ring from the bell tower. The old town center is walking distance. Very atmosphere overall. Staff were trying their best.

There was just a window in the room and no air-con no fan for the ventilation. It was very hot and stuffy and there was no wind at night. It was architectural atmospheric but staff put very loud music in the afternoon but eventually stopped when requested. There were fleas and mosquitoes and I needed to get repellent outside, still got fleas bitten all over. It must be difficult to have this big place cleaned.

Uno dei soggiorni più confortevoli mai avuti ad un prezzo davvero conveniente.

La bellezza dell'edificio, la posizione vicino al centro, il parcheggio gratuito, la grandezza della camera, il riscaldamento funzionante 24 h su 24 che ha garantito un soggiorno piacevole e un ambiente caldo al punto giusto durante le fredde giornate invernali. Ottima anche la colazione, la possibilità di godere dei tavolini sotto i portici, e prezzo veramente onesto per tutti i comfort offerti. 10 e lode davvero. Torneroʻ di sicuro..

Per essere un ostello è andata bene

Edificio storico, stanza pulita, personale accogliente, colazione minimal ma buona.

La pulizia non si discute ma almeno uno dei bagni necessita di manutenzione. Un po' freddino la notte ma scaldare tutto è un impegno non da poco... Forse pochi bagni per il numero delle stanze

La struttura molto molto bella. Posizione perfetta. La città fa pena

Staff che fa il minimo possibile, stanze brutte puzzolenti di muffa e fredde , fa freddo i termosifoni sono impostati a minimo i letti sono duri di ferro , dalle 22 alle 7 di mattina rumori di ogni tipo non si riesce a dormire tra freddo e rumori assordanti scrusciate di sedie ,mobili,letti un vero inferno, sconsigliato a tutti meglio restare per strada almeno risparmi 60€, si perché costa 60€ una notte all inferno, per ultimo ma non per importanza bagni davvero che sembra di stare in Bangladesh

Riposo, efficacia nel risveglio, posizione discreta anche per chi deve lavorare e si deve muovere rapidamente. Atmosfera da notti antelucane che permettono di trarre ispirazione anche dai navigli per il lavoro.

Un ostello in un edificio storico pazzesco

Staff gentile e disponibile. Camera calda, ampia e pulita. Posizione centrale. Mi hanno dato accesso al bagno privato in quanto la camera che lo prevedeva era disponibile (eravamo in bassa stagione). Colazione inclusa. Ottima qualità prezzo.

Un luogo dove tornare

La posizione è eccellente, in centro, in una via poco rumorosa, gentilezza dello staff è un punto decisamente a favore. Il cortile interno è splendido e la struttura molto caratteristica, con uno scalone con soffitti dipinti. L'appartamento essenziale, ma per noi comodo e funzionale. Si sente che le persone che gestiscono questo luogo sono genuine e cordiali e noi abbiamo apprezzato.Colazione all'italiana inclusa dolce in una sala molto carina.

Nulla da rimarcare. Abbiamo alloggiato in un appartamento in cui il riscaldamento non era tanto alto, ma forniscono anche stufe elettriche al bisogno.

Ancien monastère avec un appartement de très bon confort incluant un bon petit déjeuner.Le personnel jusqu au directeur est très dévoué et attentionné .Literie très confortable.Un grand calme la nuit et un repas succulent avec un excellent rapport qualité /prix

Parfait !

Magnifique bâtisse adossée à la Basilica della Ghiara. Plafonds immenses, murs épais, calme et fraicheur, c'est un lieu vraiment unique et enchanteur. L'accueil est chaleureux. Les sanitaires partagés étaient très propres. Ma chambre donnait sur un cloître. Le soir il y avait un concert avec d'excellents musiciens dans un autre cloître au centre de l'auberge, dans la verdure du jardin, où l'on peut aussi manger : un moment délicieux! L'emplacement est parfait, dans le centre historique de la ville. Et cerise sur le gâteau, il y a un parking privé réservé aux clients de l'auberge. Je recommande à 200% !

Ambiente accogliente inclusivo e informale, la sera c'era un concerto nel giardino del chiostro con molte persone, anche famiglie a cena ed è stato piacevole, . stanze pulite, Ho dormito solo una notte ma sono poi tornata per la cenar con i colleghi, che mi hanno ringraziata. Oasi di pace e verde in città. Ritornerò appena possibile.Grazie allo staff !

Purtroppo a causa di un disguido la camera prenotata non corrispondeva a quella che effettivamente ci è stata data. La cosa più scomoda è che il bagno era all’esterno della stanza.

Mi estancia en el Student's Hostel Della Ghiara fue simplemente perfecta. Ubicado en pleno centro de Reggio Emilia, dentro de un antiguo monasterio, el lugar tiene un encanto especial que combina historia, belleza y tranquilidad. El edificio es precioso, lleno de detalles arquitectónicos que te transportan a otra época, pero con todas las comodidades necesarias para una estancia cómoda y relajante. Las habitaciones eran amplias y acogedoras. Aunque el lavabo era compartido, estaba siempre impecable, lo cual demuestra el gran cuidado y limpieza del lugar. El ambiente general transmitía una paz increíble, ideal para descansar después de un día de paseo por la ciudad. Lo que más me impresionó fue el personal: atentos, simpáticos y siempre dispuestos a ayudar con una sonrisa. En resumen, una experiencia de 10. Muy recomendable para quienes buscan un lugar céntrico, auténtico y lleno de calma. ¡Volveré sin dudarlo!
