An affordable hotel with canal view.

This is a beautiful place to stay in Venice with a canal view without having to spend fortunes. I was even given a free room upgrade. The staff are so kind and very welcoming, from the front desk to the restaurant staff, they are all so very nice. One time I had to leave the hotel early because I booked a day trip tour to Dolomites and they allowed me to have super early breakfast so I won’t have to leave the hotel with an empty stomach. (I give them 10 out of 5 stars if not even more 🥺).🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Major attractions are within a stones throw and I felt so safe despite traveling alone. Venice is a place like no other, I am grateful I booked at the perfect place for my vacation. ❤️

A lovely cosy stay in Venice at Christmas time.

The hotel & the staff were lovely. Room lovely and warm (stayed in December) Perfect location (next to Theatre) so easy to find and close walking distance to the main square. Staff happy & friendly and lovely breakfast in the morning with eggs, bacon, cheese and pastries. Highly recommend.

(almost) everything was good: a nicely designed hotel, amasingly located, with a great personnel trust none: there is a lift there. and it works were offered free wine (as a welcome bonus)

Amazing and atmospheric in a very historical setting!

Such an amazing location right in the heart of San Marco with all the sites right on your doorstep. With your very own canal side view to sip a coffee, the staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you!

Mixed feelings: great location, small room, ok breakfast

Great location, comfortable bed, good selection at breakfast

The room was small and uncomfortable, you had to turn sideways to pass between the bed and the wall. The bathroom was even smaller, no room to dry yourself with the towel, literally over the toilet, whilst knocking the hairdryer off the wall with your elbow. The shower had mildew deposits in the corners. Breakfast service staff was rather unfriendly (unlike people at the front desk).

A charming hotel with friendly staff in an excellent location.

Fantastic location, short walking distance to St. Marks Square & Rialto bridge, plus lots of good bars and restaurants. Staff very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Loved being able to get a water taxi right up to the hotel dock and also enjoyed having a drink there during the day whilst watching gondolas go by. Breakfast was very tasty and well organised. Staff working hard to replenish and serve hot drinks.

The location is very good and I recommend arriving by water taxi if you can afford it. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It’s seen better days and needs a refurb. The bathrooms haven’t been updated in many years. The windows are unusually high so the rooms can be claustrophobic.

Excellent location right in the heart of Venice, perfect for exploring the city on foot. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is definitely on the pricey side, though that’s expected for such a central spot in Venice.

Great hotel if you want to be right near San Marco

The location is exceptional and it wasn't too expensive for a room of that size in San Marco. It's small for sure but the bathroom was well equipped, it had a full size bed, and I didn't need a huge amount of space anyway. It's also a very short walk from the San Marco pier, so for €18 you can take a ferry from the airport and end up quite close to the hotel.

This isnt the hotel's fault in any way, but obviously with August weather in Venice being exceptionally hot these days, the AC unit in the room didn't seem up to the task. It cooled the room down and I slept fine, but for people with sensitivity to heat, it may be a concern.

Charming authentic haven in the heart of Venice

Beautifully authentic accommodation in the heart of Venice. Loved the private jetty providing the option of a water taxi straight to the door and also a great spot to relax on with a glass of wine watching the Gondolas go by. Our room on level 3 was quiet and comfortable with most of the essentials including a coffee machine and kettle available on request. Staff friendly and helpful with information and booking transport.

Bathroom was on the small side with minimal shelf space and an awkward shower over bath setup. The room’s air conditioner stopped working towards the end of our stay. We were ok with a fan as the weather was luckily not too hot and staff were very apologetic.

We loved the location, close to most of the main attractions of Venice; we loved the style, classic and in-keeping with the location; we loved that the staff were more than happy to share recommendations and spoke English very well; we loved the breakfast, we loved the little jetty onto the canal where you could have a morning coffee or a late night G&T. Marco, who was on reception every night of our 3 night stay, was especially helpful and really chatty.

The shower screen leaked a bit, but we figured that out pretty soon and just adjusted the shower head so it wasn’t so bad.

We feel like we truly experienced Venice. From our balcony we could see a dream of gondolas passing by in the afternoon

It was a first class experience. The water taxi and gondolas pick you up from a dock right off the lobby. The staff from the moment I first spoke to them was anxious to help and were accurate answering every question I had posed to them. They gave me detailed travel information for me to travel by train from the cruise port over 2 hours away. When we were walking with our baggage through the streets of Venice we thought possibly we were lost, calling the hotel, they told me to photograph where we were. Immediately they sent Marco from the front desk. He carried our bags and led us to our hotel. He checked us in and walked us to a fantastic restaurant and booked a gondola ride with musicians that picked us up right from the lobby. It was fantastic. We left the next morning for the Marco Polo airport. Marco suggested a water taxi to the airport. He arranged it and they were there at 6:45 as promised. It was like a luxury limo on the water. He cruised us to the airports own dock, where an attendant took our bags and us to the airline check in. This Marco was the highlight of our trip. Always with a smile and an efficient air about him. This hotel was a Venetian palace, it is beyond words. The breakfast before our departure was the best breakfast of our 16 day vacation. I look forward to recommending friends to Hotel BECHER.

A real gem central to everything!

Location, breakfast, staff...all wonderful. This hotel is in a lovely location within easy walking distance to many sites of interest. They offer a great selection for breakfast and arranged transport from and to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was fantastic. All of the staff was extremely helpful from helping arrange a water Taxi from the airport to information of things to do. Our flight was early and they had us checked into our room with luggage into the room within about 15 minutes we were off exploring this beautiful place right away.

Fantastic and would recommend!

Great location to be able to get around to all the different sites quickly. It was quiet in the hotel - it felt like no one else was there (that’s a good thing). Staff very friendly and always available. Thank you to Marco who also insisted on bring up breakfast to our room first thing (we had to leave for airport before official breakfast was open)

Everything about this hotel was perfect. Not only was the hotel staff extremely friendly, but they’re recommendations of places to eat or have a drink and a snack worst spot on. Our room was amazing for European hotel, our balcony was absolutely precious, and enjoying a bottle of wine on the dock watching the gondoliers go by was the perfect end to a day.

There is nothing we did not like about this property. Everything was as advertised and more.

We like especially the location and the jetty of the hotel, where we was sitting every afternoon to drink something and watch the gondolas. It was a very memorable moment for us what we really miss. The breakfast was very delicious. The personal is nice, but especially Mr Marco is the kindest person that I have ever met. The hotel should appreciate that they have a personal like Mr Marco.
