We dont go to look for faults we go to enjoy ourselves , So nothing to complain about apart from only being able to stay for one night due to work commitments

Reception could do with a bit of TLC, paintwork peeling away. Funding a huge long black hair in the sink plug hole and noticing the shower still had scum marks on and not cleaned properly

Nice accommodation, pity about the breakfast service

We have stayed at the Feathers several times so knew what to expect - a warm and clean room with a decent bathroom and comfortable bed - and were not disappointed.

On this occasion the breakfast service fell below its usual standard. On the first day our poached eggs were both solid. (We were told by other guests that the waitress had been away when the 'food ready' bell was sounded so they waited some time to be served.) Day 2, a Sunday, was a bit of a disaster as it took almost 40 minutes from ordering to getting our food. We were warned that there would be a delay but my wife, a retired chef, considered it to have taken about twice as long as it should for the number of tables in use. Our 3rd, and final, day was fine.

I know the feathers well, got the room I needed. Staff lovely. Eaten there a number of times. A good location that suits me.

Boiler failed Sunday morning, so shower was icy, did get a refund for that.

Staff, and especially the Manager were lovely and helpful. Starters (evening meal) and breakfast were delicious.

Main course evening meal. Had Turkey roast. Very little veg, brussels undercooked even though I don't like my veg cooked too much. Roast potatoes soft and felt like they had been hanging around too long after Christmas 🫣

Very friendly helpful staff, good mattress, clean bathroom, decor and style, big single bed, good parking outside, quiet room.

Small things which could be so easily rectified! Noisy extraction fan in bathroom, uncomfortable cheap lumpy pillow, cobwebs on ceiling, strange smell in the room and corridor and no space for the armchair which then partially blocked the entrance to the bathroom. There is already a chair for the desk which would be enough in the available space. There were also really nice “coffee bags” left to use but the outside foil was just impossible to open. Took it to your receptionist who agreed and luckily she had scissors!

In two minds whether to recommend.

The Inn itself has character and charm, and the staff were pleasant. Although small, the rooms were more than adequate for a short stay.

Thumping noise from the plumbing throughout my night's stay made sleeping difficult. Unable to determine it's exact source as I was so tired. Relatively expensive restaurant food and drink.

Great value for money

Excellent value for money, the room was very cosy & comfortable with quality bedding, toiletries & tea/coffee choices. Breakfast was cooked to order with very good choices. The position of the hotel rooms was behind the pub in a separate building, it was quiet & peaceful. Great to be able to park & eat in the pub.

Overall offers good value but bathrooms could do with maintenance

Well located and good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Arrived to be told they had ‘just found’ a patch of wet carpet due to a shower leak but there wasn’t another double room available. This seemed unlikely- the shower tray looked like it had needed attention for some time and the room spelt musty. Breakfast was good but they need to invest in a decent coffee machine rather than offering only coffee bags and hot water.

Welcoming pub with wonderful staff

We had to change rooms because the damp smell was unbearable. The hall way leading to our room just smelt of damp The carpet in the bar area was filthy and really needed to be changed, cleaning just would not do it. All in all not a good stay

A Comfortable Stay.

Comfy room with a fabulous en suite. Plenty of teas and coffee. The decor was tasteful and I liked the fact the room was set away from the pub. Plenty of parking.

Great room but breakfast not so good

Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water in bathroom. Very clean, no complaints

Breakfast was £ 11.50 each extra which is fine. We weren't told that we had to make our own drinks and toast for this. Hot water for drinks was in large flasks so not boiling hot. Afterwards we discovered we could have had machine coffees for an extra fee which would have been helpful. Staff should give full information

A comfortable and reasonably priced stay

The room had recently been refurbished to a high standard and the en suite was excellent with a rainforest shower. The fact that the rooms were separate from the pub was very good as you didn't hear any noise once in the room. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Definitely recommend this venue for a comfortable and reasonably priced stay.

Great location and good value!!

Quality of the food and the cleanliness of the rooms was very high. The options around hot drinks available in your room were high quality as well.

The beds are just too soft. Although I’ve been informed by the staff. That there a few rooms that need upgrading and these beds are better standard.
