Cheap beer, friendly staff. A bit of a sports bar and the rooms are adequate. Oh and the WiFi/signal was rubbish.
Food was delicious, the lady behind the bar was thorough and friendly.
I got a little unlucky I think. There was a small altercation, discreet albeit, between a couple of people and left me not knowing where to look. More of a locals pub than I had thought.

Disappointment
The view from the resturant across open countryside
The restaurant! It is a large open room with a bar on one side and tĥe ballcony and floor to ceiling glass for a wonderfull view. BUT! There are seven large screen tvs around the walls and on our stay it was packed with people (non residents) watching and shouting at the football!!! To add to the disappointment the kitchen closed at 5.00 pm so NO dinner either

Great room and breakfast - let down by poor WIFI
Nice room, food was very good (a little limited in terms of range at dinner). Breakfast was very good.
WIFI was atrocious, you have to keep logging in every 5 minutes. Only one real ale available in the bar which was disappointing - they obviously expect everyone to be lager drinkers. Breakfast at 8 meant a real challenge to be in an office for 9.

Great one night stay
Ideal for our one night stay to attend a family funeral. Room was comfortable and also warm.
Nothing really. We were looking forward to full English but the chef had to go to hospital. Not the venues fault. They did provide us with bacon & rolls etc.

Had to chase my VAT invoice, rather than being given one on departure. No drama, would just be nicer to have a "clean" checkout, with this sorted on departure.
