    Rooms were clean and location good. Breakfast was good even though I got there before any staff so it took a while to come

    We enjoyed our stay at the Chequers Inn, our room was exceptionally large and comfortable, clean and welcoming. Air conditioning was very welcome during the hot July nights. Good food and a great pub atmosphere too. And plenty of parking.

    This was booked to include breakfast, however when we arrived we were told that breakfast wasn’t available on our stay date even though we had paid for it! I would not have booked if I had know this prior to our arrival. Also we inadvertently booked on line through a third party Acodo (in Singapore) who were terrible and took full payment. The lack of breakfast meant a refund was due but the Chequered Inn told us to deal with the third party - even though it was a booking for them! They (Acodo) are ignoring our request for a refund. Not at all happy 😒
