Fantastic stay

Alex was absolutely amazing, helped to get the telly working friendly and polite. Absolutely a great host. Complementary items were a great touch from the bottle water to the tea and coffee.

I was charged more on arrival than the price quoted on booking. I was also charged for breakfast as part of this price but was informed by the staff they don't serve breakfast on weekday, so booking details were also incorrect

Very comfortable

Slightly limited options. There were very few options other than cooked breakfast.ie I couldn't have cereal or even toast and marmalade. The breakfast was the only disappointment.

Breakfast was first class - eggs royale -superb. Evening meal was good as well. Staff were very helpful as we were down to visit family and they accommodated us extremely well

There was a dodgy bath plug which had to be changed but that was done quickly and sorted - excellent

Perfect short stay, well appointed and spacious room - would highly recommend!

Bedroom was spacious, had space to sit as well as the bed itself and then a dedicated mini-bar/dressing area. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed.

It was a great stay. Staying in a pub you’re going to hear people leaving after last orders but that didn’t bother me and I expected it.

Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Easy to find location with free parking. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was spacious, well decorated, quiet and clean. The thermostat was easy to use to adjust the room temperature. The shower pressure was excellent and the water temperature did not fluctuate. The breakfast was delicious and there was a lovely fire going in the cozy dining room. The bed was very comfortable leading to a good night’s sleep.

The only downside is that the rooms are located up stairs with no lift access.

It was in a good location for the purpose of our visit, the room was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet despite being there on a very busy and quite noisy Friday evening.

Found the shower operation quite hard to work out. Had overhead shower and hand held shower with three taps/levers and not sure which was which and which one operated the temperature. No light over mirror in bathroom for applying make up etc.

Very comfortable, chillax, calm atmosphere

Great atmosphere, lovely pub downstairs with very tasty food for breakfast. Very helpful staff from the moment we checked in. We had a wedding to attend so we called ahead to ask if we could check in early just to leave our suitcase somewhere secure then head back afterwards as we knew we may be back after their check in time has ended. They ended up actually taking us to the first room they had cleaned so we could comfortably leave our luggage there, get changed for the wedding and head out so we very much appreciated them accommodating our slightly earlier check in. We found the place so chill and relaxing, we had a nice time when we got back from the wedding watching a movie with a good sized TV. The bed was so comfortable and we had amazingly good food the next morning at breakfast. We absolutely loved it here!

Sometimes the door to our bathroom wouldn't properly shut without us having to properly push or pull it hard until it clicked to make sure it was shut. That was just a little thing we had to make sure we remembered to do but generally, there was really nothing wrong with this place at all.

A perfect stopover en-route to a wedding.

The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Bed, pillows and bedding were all excellent and we slept really well. The bathroom was also clean and spacious with good quality toiletries and towels. We had dinner there which was very good and the breakfast, which is included in the price, was exceptional. Staff were great, particularly Connie who was so helpful.

Lovely bar/restaurant and the room was great. Room was a good size and comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. All the team were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was really good.

A fridge in the room would have been good but there was a guest fridge just outside the room so that was fine.

Lovely staff, nice building, frustrated by roadworks and a broken air conditioning unit.

The staff were very kind, the room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.

The aircon was dripping into the back of the television. I had to place a towel to stop the noise and prevent it getting into the electrics. This kept us up all night as the noise would stop and then start again. Additionally there were no cups in our room which was frustrating and as we came in late after a wedding we’re unable to sort these issues. There are also significant road works happening outside, which is not the hotels fault, but added to the disappointment as we had to wait for a considerable time to get into the car park and were awoken at 7am with Jack-hammers.

Excellent breakfast! Light and comfortable room. Pleasant outdoor area for a drink and then dinner. Everything very secure.

No control in room for air conditioning. Erratic TV picture. - first it was easily available, after dinner it was impossible to get a channel.

Overall our stay was average, but suited our purpose.

Breakfast was good but one or two surprises. Good to have air con in room!

They had no marmalade in stock! Coffee was very good, but only one small cup included. No sugar on table or other condiments. Had to ask for butter. Breakfast Service was very slow considering not many guests. Plug in hand basin was missing - asked for one but not supplied. Some parts were. It dusted properly. Had to request towels as they had only supplied for one person.

Nice pub with great food and accommodation.

Nice, clean and comfortable pub with good selection of beers/cider on draught. Excellent beer garden with heaters/blankets. Stayed one night and was greeted by Connie. Very professional, and made sure we had all the information required for our stay and check-out the next morning. The rooms were very clean with all amenities required for a one night stay. Had a nice meal in the bar area. Thanks again Connie for looking after us, a real life angel :)

Loved the room, bathroom, food and drink. Shower gel and conditioner available. Staff were lovely and very attentive.

Beds were not comfortable. Flat pillows and only one each. Very thick duvet not needed in warmer months. Only 2 tea cups but 3 guests in our room.

Lovely old coaching inn with lots of charm and very friendly staff

Breakfast was exceptional. Wide choice of menu and great portions. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The only thing that was not great is there are only stairs to get up to the rooms which are quite steep which I struggled with. Didn't spoil our visit and would stay again

A lovely stay.

Location ideal to where we wanted to be near. Staff were excellent. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Prices were fair. Beds were really comfortable. We all said we would book again.

The only thing that I didn't like was the exit of the car park,it's on a bad bend. Unfortunately not hotels fault.

1.Plenty of space in the room. 2.The staff took down and made up the double sofa bed for us whilst we were at dinner after arrival. 3.Nice dining room. Cheerful and efficient staff. Good menu range. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals.

No breakfast - this was subsequently not available after we booked and they charged accordingly. There was tea and coffee facilities in the room which was very welcome in the morning. Staff were very helpful as there was an error with our online booking and we had two rooms. The company refunded the second charge promptly.

Excellent value in a great hotel. Staff were superb.

Right from arrival, the staff could not have been any more helpful or friendly. Superb service for the 2 nights we stayed. Food excellent on the one night we ate there and both breakfasts were excellent; all fresh food and freshly made to perfection. Room was also great; bed was very good and linen of high quality and fresh. Devore nice and a good selection of coffee and teas with fresh milk rather than the UHT tubs usually offered. That alone gets a 10/10 mark from me. I’d definitely recommend and return when I’m the area.
