Relaxed, clean and friendly place to stay, would recommend.
Excellent service, clean and spacious room and friendly staff. Nice bar area with lots of very well behaved dogs :-)

A very bad nights sleep due to loud drunk guests and no management around to resolve the situation.
The White Horse is a lovely looking property, the bar and restaurant look relatively clean and refurbished, it has parking and is easy to find.
Please remember it is a Pub, we were awoken all through the night and could not get off to sleep until after 3.30am due to drunk residents partying, there is no way of contacting anyone during the night and we had a rough nights sleep due to this. We were given one bath towel to share between two of us and the room contained a lot of dust. To be honest, we staid due to attending a dinner nearby, I regret not staying further away in a branded hotel

Last time i came down south I stayed at a travel lodge in a room twice as big and half the money
I left as soon as i could
The bed was big and the room was so small, not even a chair to sit on, the noise from the bar was very loud and my room lit up at 5am with the lamp post outside and the room needed a good clean and the blinds need to be thrown away and new ones put up

I have stayed here before, but was surprised to find out it is no longer a hotel, just a bed & breakfast location. The restaurant is light and airy and serves good food.
The interior is looking tired and in need of a deep clean and facelift.

We were staying here so we could see family living locally so excellent location in historic old pub
Pub closed when we returned in the evening so unable to get a night cap but our stay was over the New Year’s Eve week
