A very special place

What a great surprise- we booked last minute driving through Austria. What a beautiful setting! Walking in you can truly feel the care and love that goes into the running of this hotel. We happened to come on a Sunday afternoon. We were told that Sunday dinner was a special occasion that they are known for and they should be - it was amazing. Can’t speak for the other nights but I’m guessing it’s the same chef. The rooms are huge and very clean and very comfortable. The design seems dated at first but adds to the overall warmth and timelessness. I’m happy that special places like this still exist.

Outstanding experience

Everything was perfect! A little corner of paradise!! The surroundings are so beautiful, unspoiled nature and clear waters! Staff is very kind and anticipates every guest’s desires. Top notch service and restaurant, wonderful views of the Dolomites and the whole lake from the rooms. Very easy to reach by bus from Lienz, amazing drive up the mountains. Strongly recommended year around.

Disappointing, old style facilities but good food

The food was excellent, the bed was comfortable.

No fridge in the room, no water cooker, shower in the bathtub, extremely rude staff who send us away from the coffee machine because it was only open from 07:00 (it was 06:30 when that happened and the coffee machine was 1 meter from the door. We only stayed 2 nights instead of the planned (and paid) 3.

A real paradise in the heart of the mountains

A hidden gem in the Austrian Dolomites. The hotel's location is excellent- just beside the Tristachersee lake, a dream come true for every visitor. The rooms are in impeccable condition, and the food is on another level - I have to mention that the restaurant is in the Michelin guide. The staff is very friendly and helpful in every aspect you may need. My thanks to every member of the Kreuzer family who is running the place; they make you feel at home and provide every little detail for your comfort and convenience. This place made me feel like a member of a happy family - a valuable feature which, unfortunately, is forgotten these days in most tourist places all over the world. Parkhotel Tristachersee, please don't change and keep the warmth and your human touch forever. N.B. Special thanks to Milen, who was exceptionally good and professional with us.

Spectacular hotel on the lake

The family who owns this hotel has managed and owned it for 40 years. The service is outstanding and the hotel is gorgeous on the lake. We had the half board and really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner each day. There are plenty of hiking trails near the hotel as well.

The location on the lake is beautiful. Dinner is great and the staff are very nice. the garden is wonderful and you can run around the lake for a short run.

the pool is ok, not enough wormer. the spa is ok but not a luxury one. the room is ok, a little bit old. the bathroom is not so convenient, the water are coming out from the bath

Fabulous Stay in this Prestigious Hotel. Food was amazing! Dog friendly, 5 star!!!!!

I booked this hotel for my Family based on Booking.com reviews from previous stays. I was glad I did a last minute booking, it exceeded my expectations! I chosed this hotel for our big dog as it is pet friendly. The Lake view is Spectacular, the room is big, there's a sofa bed for a child ( with specific charges on age child group). We enjoyed the walk around the lake. The best part was the Dinner. The Chef prepared tasty dinner ( Five Star thumbs up! 10 out of 10 ), it was delicious! It's a full Course Menu. The setting is Formal dining, breakfast was amazing, full of choices! The Customer Services are very friendly and welcoming. I just realised it's a family owned elegant luxurious hotel after the Hotel owner greeted us on dinner, breakfast & departure time. Everything has been well taken care off, even my 7 years old son has a small bathrobe to use. Lake/Mountain view while eating and relaxing was magnificent! It's welcoming and with a personal touch... it's not the ordinary regular 4 or 5 star hotel. This hotel has a heart & soul... We were glad we made the right choice to book this last minute as our transit stop, the extraordinary experience will remain in our memory, it left a nice very satisfied feeling that we stayed in this Prestigious Hotel. Location is spectacular, up a lovely mountain. Breakfast was superb. The hotel was so lovely and so welcoming, I know this is 10/10 but I would give it 100 if I could.

We booked bed, breakfast and Valentine's dinner and it was all marvellous. The dinner was excellent. Varied, fresh and delicious with excellent drink suggestions. The staff were very friendly and we had a marvellous time. Breakfast was even better An amazing array of options, all fresh and excellent quality. Great coffee, friendly staff and very relaxed. The room was so well appointed and the suggestion to take home the special soap from the bathroom (including a little bag to out it in) so it isn't wasted was a lovely idea. Wish we had been staying longer but it is something to look forward to on a return visit.

Only 1 suggestion. I took the dogs out at 3.30 am and getting out of the main entrance and back in again was tricky. Perhaps a way to activate the entrance door lock (from the outside) using the room key card might be useful rather than having to ring the Night service bell.

Perfekt für einen Kurzaufenthalt, wo man ein bißchen relaxen möchte.

Das Frühstück war exzellent, reichliche Auswahl. Wir haben spntan am zweiten Abend ein Abendessen dazugebucht- ebenfalls hervorragend. Tolle Lage unmittelbar am Tristachersee, schöner Garten, netter Wellnessbereich.

Da fällt mir nichts ein. Bemerkungen am Rande Anreise mit eigenem Auto ist empfehlenswert, weil man flexibler ist. Aber eine Bushaltestelle mit Verbindung nach Lienz befindet sich unmittelbar vor dem Hotel.

Un lungo semplicemente MERAVIGLIOSO

Tristachersee è immerso in una cornice romantica ed accogliente. Prezioso ed impeccabile il servizio offerto da tutto il personale il quale, dietro comunicazione del mio compagno, mi hanno preparato una graziosa sorpresa per il mio compleanno. Cibo ottimo sia per la cena sia per la colazione, giardini e servizi per l'utilizzo del lago semplicemente perfetti.

Sehr schönes Hotel am See. Sehr freundliche, liebevolle Gastgeber. Feines Nachtessen und Schönes Morgenbuffet mit allem was es braucht. Kein Kinderlärm und keine Hunde die bellen. Einfach alles top. Der Schwumm im See war herrlich. Zimmer sehr ruhig und sauber. Das Bett komfortabel. Parkplatz für das Motorrad vor dem Haus. Die Gäste waren ebenfalls sehr nett und gesprächig.
