Expectations met

This hotel in its category met our expectations in all respects in terms of the services it offers. We appreciate the quality organization and willingness of the staff, which means that if a guest needs to arrange anything, it doesn't take too long. The well-equipped rooms are spacious enough, including the bathroom. The same applies to the comfortable beds, which are good for sleeping, but that is individual. The cleanliness is also great. The breakfasts are also great and everyone can choose. The restaurant in the hotel offers the opportunity to have a delicious dinner, which is why we used it throughout our stay and didn't look elsewhere. The wellness area with an outdoor heated pool is pleasant and parking in the underground garage is really convenient. I recommend this hotel if you want to fully enjoy your stay in the city.

An Exceptional Stay, Once Again

This is my second stay at this hotel, and once again it exceeded all expectations. The facilities are outstanding, the staff is exceptionally attentive and responsive, and the food is of excellent quality. Every detail is thoughtfully managed, creating a truly refined and memorable experience. I would gladly return again.

Great hotel. Beautiful interior & rooms are extremely comfortable. Great location if you are going to the Grosslockner High Road which is not far away. Breakfast is outstanding & makes worth the trip & stay. Owner & his wife are always present & very friendly. I am always in a sports car & underground parking always a plus. I hear many car clubs & groups make this a stop when visiting the high road. Beautiful lobby bar. Outdoor restaurant pricey but very good

For some reason never enough towels in the room. Small gripe & only one but I’ve been here several times & always same minor issue. No A/C & some complain but I was here in a heatwave which is rare but at night was not an issue for me like some. You are in the alps !!

Big room with big comfortable bed.

The room does not have AC and had to rely on a standing fan to keep the room in bearable condition in the summer heat. It have helped if this info was provided during booking. Also, the mini fridge does not work so sadly there was no way to keep cool.

5 Star? Not judging - maybe too much “Grand” …

Great location - we loved our balcony 3rd floor overlooking the river. The river facing out door facilities incl. breakfast terrace are superb. Lienz has lots to offer - a great location for many hiking tours - proximity to a 36 whole golf course and great weather. We decided to only have breakfast at the hotel - as there are plenty of alternatives for dinner outside the property.

The checking process was not informative enough - we only discovered more details when we realized that there is an iPad like device in the room with all the information at your finger tip. While the rooms are very spacious ! we missed a bit of modern touch. Clearly a personal taste preference. Lienz has no free on street parking facilities - so we had to use the underground parking. But why the need of charging EUR 10 / night?

A beautiful property in Lienz.

Situated on the river and just a short walk to the old city. The room was very large. Breakfast was great with a large selection of items.

It does NOT have air conditioning. They did give us 2 fans, but with temperatures in the 90’s it was pretty uncomfortable.

Very walkable to downtown Lienz with an excellent breakfast and pool facility.

A well-located hotel that is walking distance to the downtown area. Pool area and spa was excellent and relaxing. Breakfast was more than one should ever want to eat.

There is not a local casual dining area either in the hotel or nearby. Sometimes you don't have the inclination to sit down with 37 fork place setting!

Don’t call yourself 5-star when you don’t have 5-star staff

The view of the river is nice, room is spacious.

- No bellboy during check-in to help with our luggage even when we asked for it. - No AC while the room was hot and smelly, water stops many times during shower, quite some bugs in the room, bedding is bad. - Heavily understaffed and the people who are working there are clearly not trained: had to ask 5 waitresses to bring us to our dinner table but they just walked pass and ignore you, at the end we had to “catch” the restaurant manager to show us the table. During breakfast there was no clean table, and nobody will ask if you want anything, even though there’s a nice breakfast menu. A girl also came to tell us breakfast is closing in a very rude and bossy way like we owe her. - In the parking, almost all the cars are double parked and insulting to have “lady only” parking space. Seen many 5-star hotels and this is definitely not one of it.
