Budget hotel with 5* experience

What a fabulous find, basic, budget, traditional, family run hotel, close to the main gondola, ski hire, apres bars and great restaurants. What it lacked in luxury, was certainly made up for in the warm, friendly welcome of the owners Marianna and her husband, who went over and above to make our stay as 5 star as possible, including arranging airport transfers, very late check-in, super toasty room, freshly cooked omelette every morning, and by far, the best coffee in Bansko!!! Excellent value for money and would definitely stay again if ever I return.

Maybe a dust behind the radiator and under the bed would have been good but that's me being very pernickety!!!

Great value for the money and attentive host.

Location is definitely the biggest advantage of the property. The host Marina is very kind and friendly, she met our needs for everything we asked and was available at any time.

Mattresses on beds were a bit uncomoftable. The shower drain was a little clogged.

Ski weekend and stay at Santo

Amazing place to stay at Bansko, cozy home: - Spacious room, good shower, very warm, radiators working, comfy bed, clean, nice towels, good WiFi - Walking to the ski lift is 10mins, many restaurants are around, but the place is very quiet - Breakfasts are tasty - Hosts are amazing, Mariana is a very friendly and welcoming person. We arrived at 5 am but she was awake and met us.

Exceptional

Short walk to the Gondola. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, especially Mariana and the amazing breakfasts she provided. Thank you! The normal breakfasts looked great. I am vegetarian, and didn't expect there would be many healthy options for me, but they accommodated me far beyond my expectations. The rooms are simple but pleasant, but all in for the price and location it really is beyond exceptional. I stayed here very comfortably for over 2 weeks in the end. Good times :))

Wondeful stay in a very homely hotel.

Marianna and George were amazing hosts - so accommodating, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was prepared freshly and was ample - great eggs. Room was spacious, comfortable, clean and warm. Location was very central to everything including the gondola and the Old Town. Will definitely stay here again.

Disappointing and feeling deceived.

The hotel is warm and the shower was good with plenty of hot water.

This hotel was very disappointing. The owners are friendly and welcoming but cannot make up for the misleading description. The 'restaurant' is only used for breakfast and locked at other times. It looks like it has not been used for years, not just during the pandemic. There is no bar or lounge. I'm not sure what facilities make a hotel three star but this had none. If you want a warm bedroom with breakfast and a decent shower then this might suit you. If you want somewhere to relax comfortably then you should look elsewhere. The TV had only Bulgarian channels despite being satellite. Not a problem but the description implies a wider selection. I also think Booking.com should do more to verify the facilities quoted actually exist.
