A good place to stay before flying home from Nice the next day

The staff were friendly and the location was good for exploring Vence. The car parking was very good.

Lovely

Underground secure garage for your motorcycle. Hotel is a little worn around the edges, but the staff and atmosphere is lovely. Food is excellent. Hotel is very clean and tidy. Lovely typical French hotel. I’d stay again definitely

Exceptional Kindness at Mas de Vence!

Mas de Vence exceeded all expectations, primarily due to the unparalleled hospitality of the owner. On the morning of my flight, after 15 frustrating minutes of trying to get an Uber, the owner spontaneously drove me to the bus station (15 minutes away) and even confirmed I was on the right bus. His incredible kindness saved my travel plans. Beyond this extraordinary gesture, the hotel boasts a fantastic restaurant and a lovely, quaint garden. An absolutely wonderful stay – thank you, Mas de Vence!

Relaxing, friendly and very enjoyable.

The room we were given was very large and the facilties were great. The acmeals I have had for a long time paired with fennel and green beans absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly and ctual hotel was amazing as built into the rocks. Had very quirky areas where you could see the bare rocks within the hotel. Loved it. Food was amazing too. We had dinner both nights we stayed. The cabillaud (cod) was one of the best meals I have had for a long time - paired with fennel and green beans absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We will definitely stay next time we are in France.

A couple of areas possibly could have done with a bit of renovation (we do renovations and maintenance with our company) but this was insignificant compared to the positives. We are happy to help with any maintenance if needed :)

Always a good place to stay.

I’ve reviewed this hotel three times now and my views don’t change. It’s a lovely family run hotel where you feel at home, it’s clean and comfortable and the staff can’t do enough to oblige. It’s handy for Nice airport and Vence itself is a great town with loads of good restaurants and the surrounding countryside is lovely.

Chilled, relaxed, great location and friendly staff.

As well as the price… free parking, rooms cleaned everyday, wall mounted hairdryer, good TV, complete blackout blinds (sometimes you need that), lovely pool for swimming and it’s only a 3 minute walk to the lovely town of Vence which has a historic centre, Tuesday markets, music and lots of places to eat and drink. We ate in the town all of our 10 nights, there’s lots of variety. The hotel staff have been so helpful and kind. The location is great if you have a car, we took day trips to Cannes, Saint Tropez, Grasse, St. Paul De Vence, Eze and of course Antibes, Biot and Nice. All within 90 minute drive.

Breakfast is basic and if it’s busy there’s not enough sun beds at the pool. They don’t advertise themselves as having a boutique, modern decor and that’s true but it was clean.

A friendly, family-run style of hotel close to the life of the city.

A lovely welcome on arrival late in the evening, after a long journey. The kitchen was closing but they made us an amazingly fresh and massive salade nicoise. Our room was cool and comfortable, with a sun terrace which was a bonus.

Superb

Relaxed staff, big clean rooms - ours had a little balcony- easy access to town (5/6 minutes and Vence is a really lovely town) , garden for the dog, proper French breakfast, great evening meal. Swimming pool is a good size too. What’s not to like?!

My husband has hip problems so a shower in a high sided bath was difficult for him. Not a great many loungers by the pool altho there were chairs. Apart from that nothing else.

Staff is the friendliest we have found in any hotel in France and probably it is because of their commitment that this hotel is still up and running with style. Great to have free parking and swimming pool in this location. very spacious rooms with a terrace to sit outside

A vintage French Riviera hotel, or incredibly outdated and worn hotel, it depends on your tastes. At every minute you have the impression of being back in a hotel in these movies of the Riviera of the 70s. There were several stains of humidity here and there and the repeated repairs can be noticed. the hotel needs a general modernization of its structure. at the same time I must say that the Wi-Fi is very decent, stable. Breakfast is minimal, basically bread and croissants with jam and butter, you can get yogurt but you need to ask specially for it, no fruits or any other Fresh Products.

A lovel hotel with the friendliest staff ever!

We liked everything. Yes, the rooms are dated but honestly the absolutely wonderful staff and location, make up for any little short falls. The staff could not do enough for you. They were courteous, helpful, friendly and just delightful. We ate in the restaurant on our last night and it was a lovely experience. We will definitely stay here again. The gardens are a beautiful addition. I wish there was seating in ot so I could sit and enjoy. You walk up through the terraced garden straight into a lane that leads into the old town. Superb! The buses to St.Paul de Vence and Cagnes, Nice stop directly outside. St. Paul takes 5 mins and costs €1.50 each way. Amazing value. We parked right outside the front door, with ease and it was the end of July.

The rooms are a little tired but this was no problem for us.

La struttura ha uno stile datato, tipico degli anni ’60, e avrebbe bisogno di un rinnovamento sia negli arredi che nei bagni. La pulizia non è stata impeccabile: ho trovato polvere e peli. L’aria condizionata, anch’essa piuttosto vecchia, è poco efficace e fatica a rinfrescare la stanza; per me che la considero fondamentale, è stato un vero limite. Inoltre, nonostante il prezzo elevato, la colazione non è inclusa: il buffet disponibile a pagamento (10 €) è risultato piuttosto scarso.

Morgenmaden var god, men det ville have være dejligt at have fået ost til brødet. Der var dejlig rugbrød. Rigtig god beliggenhed. Betjeningen i restauranten var helt exceptionel.

Abbiamo soggiornato 5 notti in questo albergo, è stata la base per visitare in auto il territorio limitrofo (Nizza, Cannes, Tourrettes, Grasse, Gourdon, Antibes, ecc.). Ottimo certamente, lo consigliamo a chi ama il silenzio e la tranquillità a 200 mt a piedi dal centro di Vence. Buon rapporto prezzo-qualità, ampio parcheggio gratuito, e cortesia a volontà. Con le arance amare e non trattate del loro giardino, che ci sono state graziosamente offerte, al ritorno a casa abbiamo preparato una squisita marmellata.

ottima la prima colazione, ma a nostro parere il ristorante meriterebbe di essere migliorato.
